Seed and harvest time

*Recap of Be Inspired Bible Studies Thursday 05th September 2019*
*Anchor*: Brother Adetokun
*Topic*: Sowing and Reaping
*Text*: Galatians 6:7-10
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
*Galatians 6:7‭-‬10 KJV*
We will be talking about Sowing and Reaping tonight. Like any farmer will tell you, there is no reaping without a sowing first.
It is usually assumed that reaping is all about taking something good, harvesting what is pleasant. But that is not always the case. Reaping depends on what is sown.
The Bible makes it clear that whatever is sown is what we will reap.
And this is why we must be conscious of what we sow
Beginning from our thoughts. Our thoughts and imaginations are seeds, Our actions are seeds. Our speech is a seed.
*What we do and fail to do are all seeds. *
As long as you are alive, you are constantly sowing seeds into the universe.
Those little deeds, that smile, that prayer of intercession are all seeds
There is also something that we don't usually consider: Whatever you do to yourself is equally a seed
Going to school, learning a trade, starting a business, they are seeds
When you decide to cultivate a good character, you are sowing a seed
When you decide to live a holy life, you are sowing a seed
Equally, when you decide to drop out of school, give up on life or decide to live a wayward life, a seed is being sown. Now with the help of nature, every seed grows up, germinates.
And brings forth the harvest
*Nature does not make mistakes*
God is not the author of confusion, an orange seed will not bring forth mango fruits
*Exactly what is sown will be reaped, only that it will be in multiple folds. *
Sometimes when you look around and see youths committing crime all around, don't be surprised. The elderly ones have failed to sow seeds of morality and righteousness into the society
As a parent, what kind of seeds are you sowing into the lives of your children?
*What kind of seed are you sowing into your own life? *

There is always someone somewhere watching us.
They see the seeds you are sowing into your own life and they follow suit
If we really want a sane society, a society that upholds truth, hardwork and promotes morality
It starts with you, it starts with me. You could be a role model to lots of people without knowing it yourself
The Bible says when we sow to the flesh, we reap corruption, because the flesh cannot be trusted. That is why the Bible says the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak.
When you sow to the spirit. You reap life everlasting. Meaning when we imbibe the fruits of the spirit, We have peace of mind, both here on earth and in heaven.
Sometimes we sow good repeatedly, it becomes our lifestyle. But it seems like the correct harvest is not forthcoming.
I have good news for someone. The Bible says do not be weary. Because your day of harvest is coming, sooner than you expect, because God is NOT a liar.
When He says whatsoever a man sows, he shall reap, it means the reaping is sure
I believe someone has been encouraged tonight
*Don't quit doing good, don't stop sowing the right seeds. *
*The harvest is sure*
*Let us pray*
Our Eternal Father, we worship you. Thank you for your word tonight. Abba Father, by your mercy, help us to constantly sow good seeds. Let every delayed harvest come forth. As many that needs a change of heart to do that which is right, touch them tonight.
Thank you because you have answered us.
*In Jesus mighty name we have prayed. *
Amen.
