Aborted Mission

 This topic I want to actually put a disclaimer out there is not to target anyone in anyway but for us all to learn

 Every relationship started for a purpose and with a motive

 The only relationship that you do not choose where you go or how you come out is that of the parent and child or children

 When a man and woman meets they choose themselves, at times makes informed or uninformed choice to bring children into the world or not to

 This decision might come easy for some but some might take a while

 Many believe in love making/sexual intercourse as a means of solidifying a relationship

 And as we know even the Bible admonishes us to keep the bed undefiled

Marriage is to be held in honor among all [that is, regarded as something of great value], and the marriage bed undefiled [by immorality or by any sexual sin]; for God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterous.

This is not an old saying it something that applied only to the old days

It is something that we must stick to now and always if we really want to fulfill the will of God

 Many might say well 8 stuck to that but my spouse is abusing the privilege and that is so true because being a virgin doesn't mean you will marry right or wrong and not being a virgin at the time of marriage doesn't mean you will marry right or wrong

 Marriage is something you embark on before finding out what lies ahead or in it. You learn each day in it and you will always continue to learn about each other as you grow

 Back to the topic many destinies have been aborted on mission

 The beginning of mission was two people falling in love or falling in infatuation and before you know it a new life is formed in the process

 Some missions have been aborted on the plinth of doctors and clinics because although mission started with live and infatuation but along the line they couldn't see it through

 *This is called abortion or evacuation*

 This doesn't just happen to unmarried but the married as well

 Many stand under the disguise of birth control or God's know what but forget that every seed formed was formed by God

 Watching a documentary about this yesterday and it ignited this discussion really and as I said already I am not here to put anyone on the spot

 Either you have willingly or unwillingly aborted a child before I am not here to judge you

 This message will mostly help those who might find themselves in this shoe

 Do you know that the relationship of a child and the foetus starts not just at conception but as the foetus grows

 Lying on the plinth of the clinic legs all wide open just as wide open as you started the mission but now it's different because instead of the pleasure you enjoyed the first time here is pain

 And as they insert their device into you as the sonography shows the location of the foetus in the uterus

 They break the limbs one after the other

 Decapitating this unborn destiny and lastly suck the skull into the tube

 Or perhaps have the easy do it alone at home method where the first tablet is taken in the clinic and the other when you get home.

 You are made to think that it's only blood clothes that will fall off and pain like a horrible period cramps

 But really and truly the destiny was been truncated by you because you couldn't see the mission through

Do you know that many ladies remember the abortion dates they have more than the birthdays of their living child or children if they have one

 Once again I am not here to judge anyone.

 One thing you must understand about relationship either marriage or whatever is when you start a mission be ready to see it through with and by the grace of God

 You might think it's not planned for but every seed has plans from the most High

 This leads us to things like family planning which is very possible way to limit or reduce this aborted mission

 The truth is it's a relationship and partnership but when the mission is aborted half way only one half of the relationship have a clue or carries the pain of this loss because that is the one that sheds the blood

 That is the one that automatically builds the relationship from the time the foetus is formed

 Can I just say to you, if you've been here before and ask for forgiveness be rest assured God has forgiven you

 Don't hold yourself responsible or guilty of anything because mercy has spoken over judgement for you

If you are in the process and contemplating on this please go back to God don't abort that destiny on mission

 *For every mission* *God will make* *provision*

 And when God gives you a vision He will see it through

 Having said that, don't forget Hebrews 13:4 keep the marriage bed undefiled

 For married do not think your marriage bed is undefiled if you start a mission and abort it on the way it is defiled for the unmarried don't go into a mission you do not intend to see through

 The enjoyment may be for a while but when mission is aborted you are basically saying to God that He is wrong and God is never wrong

 Every child is a blessing it doesn't matter where the seed comes from God knows about them before they were formed so never see a child as a mistake

 For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord , ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

Then they answered and said before the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, does not pay any attention to you, O king, or to the injunction which you have signed, but keeps praying [to his God] three times a day.” Then, as soon as the king heard these words, he was deeply distressed [over what he had done] and set his mind on rescuing Daniel; and he struggled until the sun went down [trying to work out a way] to save him. Then, by agreement, these same men came to the king and said, “Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or statute which the king establishes may be altered or revoked.” Then the king gave a command, and Daniel was brought and thrown into the den of lions. The king said to Daniel, “May your God, whom you constantly serve, rescue you Himself!” A stone was brought and laid over the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet ring and with the signet rings of his nobles, so that nothing would be changed concerning Daniel. Then the king returned to his palace and spent the night fasting; and no music or entertainment was brought before him, and he remained unable to sleep. Then the king arose at dawn, at the break of day, and hurried to the den of lions. When he had come near the den, he called out to Daniel with a troubled voice. The title is where is your attention or focus

What do we understand or classify as attention or focus

Its the regarding of someone or something as interesting

According to online dictionary *attention* is notice taken of someone or something; the regarding of someone or something as interesting or important. while *focus* the centre of interest or activity.

Although both may seem to have different meaning but are pointing at same direction

In the Bible passage above we can see that that 

Daniel was reported to the king for disobeying the rules the king passed

When he was apprehended he didn't deny the fact that he disobeyed

In the process he was thrown into the lions den as punishment for disobeying the king

This was not just an ordinary punishment or punishment that is expected to end well

Because throwing a whole human being into a lion's den you are practically sentencing them to death

You want them to be gone and forgotten because not only will the lion devour the person

You might not be able to retrieve their skeleton to even cremate and have memorial or bury to have a place to place head stone

They will be gone and forgotten just like that

But we can see that even when he was being thrown into the den not at any point did he renounce his faith in God

Not at any point did he say no I can't serve God again

Not at any point did he say guess what I am done with this God I will not carry on trusting Him

Instead His attention did not shift

His focus did not shift

He trusted God all the way

He went into the lions den with His focus on God

Do you think he wouldn't have had times where he could have back down and be like I am done

I can't face this physical torment

I can't stand this physical pain

I need to just be human

By the way I am human

And we must remember at that time they were not living with the Holy spirit in them

But he trusted God all the way

Believing that God will still be God either in death or life

He went in there 

And the lion instead of making him their supper or food

They actually became his best buddy

They became his friend

His ally they became the bed where he could rest

He slept like a baby and the king came in the next day

Expecting to see bones and all

But alas he called out and asked if Daniel's God showed up for him

And yes God showed up

At times all we have left is God

All we have left is to focus on Him

All we have left is to lose our trust in man but heighten our trust in God

All we have left is to shut all the voices 😭😭😭 that wants us to just give up on God

All we have left is to keep our faith even if it's smaller than a mustard seed

All we have left is to just hold on firm to the promises of God given to us in His word

People can say things do things that makes you feel less of a human but never lose your focus on God

Daniel could have give in

He could have said that's it

I have had enough

He could have just throw in the towel

At times even with that faith that feels like the end of the rope that is breaking yet you keep mending it

Never shift your attention from His plan

Never shift your focus from His will

Words of men and behaviour of men might want you to let go and just ignore God

Don't let it spoil your purpose or His will for you

Trust God all the way

Believe in His power

Trust Him to be there

Sometimes it feels like He will never show up

It feels like He has forgotten you

Trusting God can never lose trend.

You know we live in a world that has so many eras of trend what's reigning now may not reign again in few months or few years

But God reigns forever

And trusting Him even in the situation that looks like a lion's den will never lose trend or lose purpose

In all honesty it's not a trend that is of this earth 

it's a trend that is heavenly

It's eternal

It's forever

It's beyond this earth and the activities of this earth

So dear brethren keep your attention and focus on God

Keep it on His will

Keep it on His purpose

No matter who stands against you what authority they hold over you remember they do not have authority over God.

Father we thank you for the privilege to share your word and to learn at your feet we thank you because you are the greatest teacher we pray for more wisdom and understanding in all we do and grace to keep our focus on you for the rest of our lives in Jesus name amen.

Having difficult conversations with our children

Examples of some difficult topics are below:

1. *Divorce*: is something that children might get caught up in the midst of their parents happen to be going through it. If the grounds of divorce is mutual it can make it easy for the children but to be honest separation is not easy on any child except in extreme cases where violence is involved and someone might end up dead if they don't separate. In such case it might be a bit easy to say because of this and that we have to go our separate ways but one thing with children is that whatever they see or go through is like a seed. They grow with the memories and it takes the grace of God for them to actually come out of it with being damaged or partially condemned  

So discussion of divorce can be quite difficult. In some cases they recommend that you get therapist involved, because the children can face series of bullying and other things that can make them feel unworthy. You know kids can easily pick on each other and some children will bottle this up inside them for so long.  

If you look in our society now and the adult the millennial or whatever generation before them many are like damaged goods producing damaged generation. The reason is that many went through so much growing up but they were not addressed correctly and now they just live as the flow comes. It is always important as parents gets support and therapy the child or children gets as well. As you pray for the divorcees pray for their children as well if they have any because some hurts can linger longer than envisaged.  

2. *Death* : This is a big one that many fail to inform or teach their child or children about. As parents it is important to teach our children that life has an end just as it has a beginning. It's not an easy conversation. And African myth that when someone talks about death is because they want to die doesn't help the situation.  

 

3  *Rape* : This sounds like a forbidden thing that many will not want to discuss with their child.  Yes it's not something easy to discuss or worth discussing about, but there is no point waiting for it to happen before discussing it. We live in a world where people are wicked. They breath in evil and breath out destruction. We must inform our children and let them know how to make informed decision and not fall victim and also be able to report any kind of sexual assaults or rape. Also we must let them know that it is sin to cry rape when you give consensual sex. Yes tell them when you say yes you have given consent when you say yes in the beginning then no and the person continues then it's rape. Even if it happens in marriage, Don't just talk about rape with your girls tell your son's as well. They must know when someone says no and be the gentleman.  

 

4. *Financial challenge* : This is another one. At times as parents to safe face we don't want to tell our children that finances aren't great. We want them to always feel like Daddy and mummy have it all under control or perhaps you're a single parents you are bursting your ass trying to get all what that child needs just to safe face, Heyyy it's okay to let that child or children know when finances aren't great. It is important to let them know you work for money. It is okay to let them know God is the one who gives you power to get wealth. It is okay to tell them when you can't afford that thing that you can't afford it. It is okay, some parents will go into debt just to safe face you are not helping your child that way, In fact show them how you make ends meet.  If you work salary job and do other legit business to make ends meet tell them. Don't just be superwoman or superman parents they need to know that in life we work and we save for raining days and when life happens we don't give up we keep going and doing illegal business or runs for quick money is never the way out or asking for miracle money not backed by the scripture  

5. *Terminal illness:* This age we live in aside Covid we hear of different illness in fact you will hear some and wonder what is this. Any thing can lead to terminal illness but as we let them know we must also inform them that God is able. God can turn around the tides. God can heal and when it doesn't happen it doesn't mean God failed, God took the person at the appointed time  

 

It is also important to highlight to them some self derived terminal illness. Like smoking leading to lung cancer etc. Always let them know that medics care but God is the healer. Having said that He can use any medium to heal. Either supernaturally or through science. Yes because He gave scientists the knowledge and they will never know more than God.  

Stories like Job’s sickness, woman with issue of blood, man by the pool of Bethesda, the mad man of gadara, the centurions daughter, dead Lazarus, the widow's son and many more stories are evident stories that we can use to teach them of supernatural healing and ability to possess divine health  

6. *Congenital illness* : are sickness that people suffer from birth. Such as sickle cell, Hole in the heart, Juvenile arthritis, Brittle bones osteoporosis, and so many disease that people are born with even disabilities like Multiple sclerosis, Down syndrome and others.  It is worth letting your child know that we are all made uniquely with unique DNA and some of this disease can be as a result of extra DNA or missing Chromosome according to science but it doesn't mean God doesn't love the person or they are created by devil or descendant of devil.  

 

7. *Faith:* it is important to always discuss the importance of faith in all this conversation because without faith it is impossible to please God when your child knows where their faith is and where your faith is when they face challenges from any of the discussed issues they go back to the manual of life the word of God to draw strength and faith. That is why it's important to allow the word to dwell in your spirit. When it comes to your children as well they must not just know it as memory verse, they must know it like as if their life depends on it.  

8. *Sexuality/sexual orientation:* This age we live in we hear read and see a lot. It is important to let your child and children know that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. Drawing knowledge from faith will enable them to understand this and perhaps they find themselves in a strange land they will not be swayed by false doctrines and regulations. They also need to know that treating anyone who doesn't believe in the sexuality or sexual orientation with respect is wrong. You can not share love if you are filled with judgement and hate. Always remember what will Jesus do.  

Above all remember that you will account and I will account before God how I raise the gift He placed in my custody because as parents we are custodian God is the real parents.

Some people believe that their encounter of Holy spirit is only when they sing or hear songs that makes them well up🥲🥲🥲

Or when the pastor is speaking in a vibrating voice that changes the way their body flows because the decibels of the sounds is just making your entire body systems to react differently. They believe that is when they feel the Holy spirit

Some think it's when that sister with high peach start prophesying and the entire church building 🏢 is trembling in fact the glasses wants to shatter

We all have different interpretations of who and what makes us understand the person of the Holy spirit

But I want to reassure you and remind you that the Holy spirit is a person that lives in you and I

The way you understand the Holy spirit can only be determined by the way you relate with or to Him

He is not far away in the distance from the scriptures shared He is with us forever

So while you're sitting on the toilet doing your business, while studying, while interacting with others He is the constant person and friend that never leaves you

As believers we must come out of the sense of my physical life is different from my spiritual life or my circular life is different from my church life..

Hey brethren you only have one life and that is the life you live now with the direction of the Holy spirit because the spiritual controls the physical nothing happens in the physical that is not settled spiritually so come out of the thoughts that you have two separate lives. He is always there forever around whether you acknowledge it or not. Once you are born again He is your spirit. Your perishing spirit exchange for the imperishable spirit of God

Today is the beginning of a new week. Many might already have anxiety of what the week will be like perhabs due to one thing or the other you can't share with an ordinary man but can I give you goodnews you can share it with the Holy spirit.

He is willing and ready to partake in your life just as you get on with everything from the clothes you choose for the day to the interview questions to the exam questions to the challenges that feels insurmountable

As in, He will tell you things and people will probably wonder if you practise witchcraft or visit a medium

I don't know who needs to hear this but I'm the midst of Chaos He will give you peace because He is the Prince of peace.

He aligns our path when we contact Him and acknowledge Him all the time. 

You may wonder can He tell me how to cook, 😃😃😃 He sure can.

Can He teach me.this difficult task, yes He can because He is the alpha and Omega.

Can I encourage you to please befriend the Holy Spirit. Yes you heard me right *"befriend the Holy spirit"* don't keep Him far away. Let Him be your best friend and closest ally. The one you call when you feel lonely in the midst of crowd.

One last thing come here let me shock you😃😃😃 yes you👆🏼...

He doesn't fail, He has never fail and He will never fail.

So when you know Him you basically align with His attributes and you stop functioning as every ordinary person because divinity is at work inside of you.

Of by any chance you are yet to have the Holy spirit or yet to acknowledge His presence make a conscious effort to do it now.

Ask Him to come into your life, if you're yet to be born again, ask Him to come and rule and reign in you, ask Him to help you and guide you as He reviews you and bring you into His fold and secret place that you want to abide forever.

Stop seeing Him as the strange sensation. She Him as your life Sensei(Teacher in Japanese).

Recently I asked someone to help me out on something. For over a week they promised to. On my return it was untouched and I had a deadline for 2pm. It was 9am on the day that I found out.

What I asked for help for takes me 4days roughly to complete.

I went into panic mode initially but then I prayed in tongues asking the Holy spirit for help. To cut the long story short. I finished the whole thing by 11:30am.

The Holy spirit came through even when I thought How can I pull through...

So true Holy Spirit dwells inside of us, countless times I will be looking for things in the house, search the entire house all to no avail but immediately I invite Holy Spirit in to direct me to the exact location, it’s always like magic how it’s will turn out

I remembered a particular time at work I was calculating and I got -$2000 I was like how, I checked many times, I had to go home, I prayed and asked Holy Spirit to fixed it, in my dream I saw the exact date where the figure was missing come and see how I rushed to work the following day, lo and behold it was the date I saw in my dream, I mistakenly recorded KD instead of dollars.

I recently went for a job interview and somehow, the money I had on me wasn't enough as what I had budgeted for transportation was less than what I met on the way.

When I got halfway to the venue, I contemplated going back as I wasn't sure how I will pull through because I also wasn't with my atm card.

Well, I had the nudge to go ahead regardless and I did.

During the interview, I was praying that God should help me. I first contemplated explaining my situation to the interviewer but it felt weird.

So I stepped out of the venue after the interview and continued praying in my heart.

From no where, a guy stopped and asked me where I was heading to, he gave me a ride to the nearest bus stop and also gave me cash to get me home while I transferred to his account.

I was genuinely surprised, being helped by a complete stranger. It can only be God.

During my PGDE, I represented my group to make a presentation. The lecturer was the type that give a carry over for the slightest mistake. He asked me a question and I was to list 5 point but at after the 3rd point I went blank, immediately I just said "Holy Spirit" , the man said that's okay, everybody clap for her you saved everyone on the group.

Also recently, I was to meet with someone. I was told it would be very difficult to impress the person. I prayed that the Holy Spirit should go before me to speak to the person and also to go with me. In fact what was meant to be in a difficult discussion for me ended up being gisting with him. The man even dash me money on top. Everyone asked me " which kind grace you carry"? I said the Holy Spirit.

You call Him into action in your life always. Even in the littlest things in your life call Him into action and don't be disobedient or blasphemous in anyway towards Him
