Woe means distress and talebearing means someone who shares gossip in anindiscreet manner
The Bible verses we are looking at actually tells us God's mind towards this act. Leviticus 19:16 says Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people...

You know we live in the times where talebearing is even fashionable
With the click of a button or a touch that secret that they kept with you is already on social media.
Some people will even say, well I just don't know how to keep such information. Many do not bother to think a second who will this affect.
Proverbs 11:13 says a talebearer reveals secrets but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.
Hmmm...
We need to check ourselves have we become someone who will be so eager to listen to people, get information about them and once you're well informed you turn it into the hot gist.
In as much as you may say, I don't know how to keep information but there are things that bad or not worth sharing you have done but will never share with anyone. But if that were to be someone else you are first to press the click....

In few weeks some people will be writing new year's resolution ...😀😀😀
Many will not even stick to it till the 5th of January 2022..
But can you just out down your new being dissolution as well.

Let us understand that as a new creature old things have passed away...
Many of us will plan and plan how to be a new person in the new year but we fail to look at what the scripture call us.
We are already new..
The fact that you and I are new that is the main reason we must not engage in activities like talebearing.
From this verses, the Psalmist is asking who can stand in the place that is meant for the righteous...
When they call the righteous do you and I feel worthy enough to stand.
Only those who's heart speaks the truth, that do not backbite with their tongue or do evil to their neighbours or take up reproach against their neighbours can be called righteous.
They are your neighbor it doesn't matter if they are Christian or not they are your neighbor.
Some people do not care who falls prey of evil as long as it's not in their house well everyone else can go into the dungeon.
Come here let's reason together as the Bible says, do you know John 3:16 isn't just about Christians, it's about everyone on this earth Jesus does for everyone.
So I hope you are having clarity on the word neighbor.
Where no wood is, there the fire goeth out: So where there is no talebearer, the strife ceaseth. As coals are to burning coals, and wood to fire; So is a contentious man to kindle strife. The words of a talebearer are as wounds, And they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

The scripture hew explains further how bad talebearing is Where there is no wood there is no fire..
So where there is no talebearing there is no strife.
This is so deep so if you don't beat false witness someone else will not lose their life.
I watched a documentary and it's happened several times where a girl claimed that her classmate she fancied raped her, this class mate was an aspiring athlete..
Already on scholarship..
Being a developed nation they took her word for it and this person spent decades in prison for a crime they did not commit.
They later found out she was lying but the damage has been done...
Even when they found out she was still adamant the confession was caught on tape, but that person's life has been impacted negatively.

Are you aware the times we are in now, it's the end of the end time.
So if you do not prepare daily and occupy daily for the second coming of Christ what are you doing?

Many of us are saying within us thank God I don't gossip...
Hold on a minute..
How many time do you click share on stories you didn't verify the source on social media.
How many times do you hear something that happened to someone and right in front of them you sympathise but once they turn their back you wink😏😆 and clap and laugh at them.
A saying goes thus, ' the downfall of a man is not the end of his life'
Because that person isn't there yet doesn't mean they will not get there
Instead of getting busy talebearing
Get busy bearing goodnews of the gospel
Spend time with the word, love up on The word, k ow more of the word ..

Make your new year resolutions in a way that you commit to memory scriptures of the Bible, you do personal Bi le studies, you commune with the Holy Spirit more.
Some of us will be wondering and winking😏 when people say to us ah the Holy spirit told me.

Start thinking and start writing your new man dissolution those things you must do away with God wants to have a relationship with you but it can't happen if you are not living righteously.
Part of your new year resolution should be
I want to love up on the word of God
I want to love up on the Holy spirit
I want to walk uprightly
I want to serve God more
I want to live for Him
I want to be a trailblazer for Christ
I want to live my life for Him
I want more and more and more of Him and less of flesh
I do not want to be a baby believer
I want to occupy till He comes
I want to be ready so when the trumpet sounds
Social media and flesh will not hook me down.
God wants the best for us, but He will only use those who are ready.
