"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but  grace and truth came through Jesus Christ."

Grace Simply means unmerited favour/mercy. It is one of the most thrilling terms in the scriptyre according to online Christian Courier. The word exceeding means going beyond or very great. If we want to define the theme in a simpler form its unmerited favour beyond human understanding.

From the word shared in the cause of this fasting and prayer we understand that Jesus Christ Himself is grace. He is the one that made it possible for man to even come to the stage of experiencing or enjoying grace. Through Moses we got the law but through Christ grace came into existence and man who was condemned by sin received grace to become a regenerated beign (John1:16-17, Romans 5:20-21).

The law makes demand from man to meet God's expectation but grace  supplies man with what God needs to meet God's expectation.  Grace of God enables man to do beyond what they can't humanly manage.  Apostle Paul in Corithians 15:9-10 shed more light on what grace does. Grace of God upon us through the Holy Spirit who is part of the trinity enables us to do greater works. Imagine Apostle Payl who once persecuted Christians became  a sold out soldier  for Christ till he died.

The Apostles in Acts 4:33 also did greater things because the grace of God was upon them. When we rely on our human power and neglect His supreme power in God we fail woefully. 1Peter5:10 enlighten us on God's eternal power that it stregthens, establishs, grounds and perfects us.

Grace make the imperfect perfect. Grace makes the impossible possible, grace makes the weak perform in eternal strength,  grace qualifies the unqualified, grace turns a slave to king, grace turns a cast away to a corner stone. Tap into His grace now the exceeding grace is available for us.

To enjoy exceeding grace, you must be a regenerated soul and be willing to live to please God Almighty. Grace can't be effective where sin dominates (Romans 6:1). We now live in the dispensation of grace that is why many get away with ridiculous things. This year God wants you and I to operate in exceeding grace to glorify Him and not abuse the grace. We must follow Him by all means by doing this, the exceeding grace available for us  will takebus from zero level to hero level. It will turn the situations planned to to ruin you to elevate yo so that He will be glorified but you must live for Him to enjoy this exceeding grace.

Most time believers act just as the centurion, we seek the help of God half way through we hold back  by counting ourself unworthy but still thirst for His word to do wonders. Faith in His word is vital for divine change.

When You Decide to follow God

When You Decide to Follow God..

As the song on my playlist got to I'll follow you by James Fortune & fiya, the lyrics got me thinking.  Especially the title "I'll follow You."

It's quite easy to say you will follow an individual and back off when the  going gets tough but when you decide sincerely and wholeheartedly to follow God there is and should be no going back.

Saul who later became Apostle Paul in the Bible had to make the decision on whom he will follow either Jesus whom he's being persecuting His followers or his old man that is his old self. (Acts 9:1-19).

Bible scholars can testify to the journey of Apostle Paul.  He followed Christ to the very end. He ran the race and finished well (2Timothy 4:7) despite all the challenges, the shipwrecks and all he encountered in his journey that didn't cost him his salvation (Acts 27:1-44).

Many of us when we gave our lives to Christ we decided to follow Him. Infact we rendered this song "I have decided to follow Jesus2*, no turning back 2*" looking back now many had turned back same year they proclaimed Christ as their lord and saviour.

Many are still on the journey but are struggling with the world in order to balance in the word not knowing that they must let go of the world in order to balance in the word.

The worshiper and believer in us is wailing and searching for ways to break free, that soul in us wants to serve God for real. Infact many are in the process of serving and following God but the hiccups on the way is puting a clause on the journey of following Christ wholeheartedly.

He deserve more than what we give and we know that. Many create hiccups for themselves in this journey of faith by honouring man than God.  You apportion more glory to the gift and ignore the giver of the gift.

Dear friend when you decide to follow God you will let Him lead you and you will indeed follow Him. You won't suggest a short cut for Him when the journey becomes hectic and more demanding than you envisage.

Your achievements, marriage, goal, children, unachievements, challenges should not stop you from following God. The Bibles says what can seperate us from His love? Romans 8:36-39. The journey is not easy but His grace is sufficient for us.

You have decided to follow Him don't look back.

When God created you and I He had a purpose in mind. Infact it was the best and top of the best you can think of.

For everyone one He created He took His time to fit in what is best for us either in our physical state or other phase of life.

It is easy to say I want to fulfill the purpose of my creation but the reality is if you depend on your ability and what you see it will just remain a dream that will not see the light of day.

Taking Joseph in the Bible for example, His creation was for a divine purpose one of which is to save His people from dieing of famine. Before he realised that purpose lots of opposition rose against Him. His family doubted his dream and to crown it all his brothers sold him to slavery. On getting to the foreign land this purpose didn't expire because he chose not to walk away from it.
He could have walked away when Portiphar's wife seduced him or when he was forgotten in prison for two years after interpreting a dream that happened as he interpreted.

His endurance paid off when he was made the prime minister in a strange land. The rejected stone became the cornerstone. The forgotten became the very important person. The one that was written off became someone people will queue for his autograph.

Where am I going with all this appraisal and comparison?  You are the key behind the door that opens to your fulfillment of purpose. You either walk away from it due to pressure, trial, doubt, unbelief, complacency,  fear and all excuse (s) you can look for. We all have been blessed by God with the ability to carry whatever cross we might come across on our way to fulfilling purpose but the enemy of our soul always create an avenue for us to back off (John10:10).

I don't know where your purpose lies, how far or how long you have been toiling in order to  fulfill purpose don't give up. Don't relent, don't be discouraged, don't throw in the towel keep that faith active.  Every appliance comes with a manual same thing applies to all human being there is a creator who holds the manual for your life consult Him always. Don't become apologetic to the enemy of your soul as to the reason you need to fulfill purpose remember you are a child of the king. You are joint heir with Christ (1 Peter  2:9).

It's a new year many will say new beginning,  some will write epistles of New Year's Resolution but second week into the year they would have forgotten about resolution. Ecclesiasties 3:1-8 makes it clear how everything has its time. This year every seconds, minutes, hour, day, week and month God has a purpose for you to fulfill don't be laid back and allow the year to roll by without you fulfilling the purpose for 2015.

I pray that God will encourage, empower and enable us in all areas so we won't waste this year in Jesus name.

Stay connected to your source don't walk away.
