To the bible passage illustration, it goes along with Mark 16:15, which says go ur to the world n preach the Gospel....... I believe our mandate as a believer after been saves is to go out there n save souls for the who had called us out of darkness into the light.. Contribution to Bible study  Luke 9;1-17
To work for God primarily He must have called us. We did not call ourself and when He called us He gave us power over everything, forces of darkness, diseases and so on so we can perform the way He wants us to. As a believer we have divine power embedded within us and we should use it as God expects us to. There is no excuse that I am too young or old with the assignment God has given to us.
God has sent us to preach heal "taking nothing for it". Salvation was given to us free even though Jesus paid the price therefore preaching to someone or praying for someone who later gets their healing we shouldn't start charging them like its some pay as you go service. Having said that when people bless you materially or financially you can accept but don't make it a priority.
Also  preaching the word or healing the  sick should start from our home front it's useless if we don't allow such charity to begin at home.
The assignment God has given us is in line with our ultimate purpose in life so we shouldn't be reluctant or start questioning God's authority.

When we reach out to people to share the goodnews we shouldn't impose it on them or force it on them so to say. If you witness to someone and they refuse to heed to it you don't have the right to keep shoving it at their face remember it's the Holy Spirit that can make that change you are just an instrument.
With the bit of Herod I liken it to laws governing the world now some countries do not encourage evangelism or anything to do with Jesus but that shouldn't stop us. Whatever we do let us inquire of God and let Him lead us. Because you leave in UK od USA don't be intimidated by the laws of the land therefore leaving the unsaved souls to perish. You must fulfill your Heavenly father's wish.
Also we must have clear understanding that the journey is not going to be smooth, trials persecution and mockery will come as a result of our faith. It can even come from your loved ones but your goal is populating Heaven so you must be focused and ask for grace to carry on in Jesus name amen.
When people we witness to experience the power of God they too will witness to others. We must also know that God is Jehovah Jireh the only one who provides divinely and never lack so when we are in lack we need to believe and put our faith to work this is the case of the fish and loaves of bread that fed the multitude.  Jeaus could have done what the disciples suggested but he asked them what they have and from that little He fed multitudes. So even the least thing can be the channel of abundance to us and others.
We must always remember that our help is from above not from men even if men help us it is the doing of the Lord. He knows about it.

I hope my detailed contribution is explanatory enough. I pray that God will give us better insight into His word. The Holy Spirit will lead us right. We will fulfill purpose, the grace, wisdom and compassion needed to do His work according to His will God will grant us in Jesus name amen.
All trials or lack that is propmting us to look back or quit God will sought us out and give us victory in Jesus name amen.

Hmmm, I definitely agree with your point sis Leah..amen to the prayer.

I had a discussion with some of my friends last night and it was an opening for me (as a young person in this generation). We all have so much to do as Christians. God has given some much power and authority to demonstrate to the world that we are Christians but are we showing the world...no?? Intact the people in the church and the people in world have no difference. This is not the original plan of God (Jesus) for us.

Like sis Leah said, it is our responsibility to know the ministry God has called us to be. Whenever, which ministry God called us to...we are rest assured that we have all the backings for it. So like the disciples...Jesus gave them that assurance that all the resources we needed is supplied to us. Imagine 5loaves of bread and 2 fishes feeding thousands. This is an assurance that of the bible says in Matthew 6:33 (when u seek his kingdom/do what he has called you to/ preach his word) then all your needs and needs in that ministry will be met.

Bottomline: when we yield to God (preach, heal, raise the dead) our needs will met. The needs even in that ministry will be met and we will be a blessing to people...when we bless/meet their needs, they get drawn to God (the supplier of their needs)

Are you Awake or Asleep?

We all seek to see God's glory in and around us because only God's glory can last till eternity. We pray for His glory to shine on and in our lives and path.  I personally ask for His glory to be evident in my life.
I believe for God's glory to be seen or to shine in our lives we must be ready to be used of God. His glory will not shine in a place where its not recognised. His glory will shine where and when it's needed.

Now about eight days after these teachings, Jesus took with Him Peter and John and James and went up on the mountain to pray. And behold, two men were conversing with Him--Moses and Elijah, Who appeared in splendor and majesty and brightness and were speaking of His exit [from life], which He was about to bring to realization at Jerusalem. Now Peter and those with him were weighed down with sleep, but when they fully awoke, they saw His glory (splendor and majesty and brightness) and the two men who stood with Him. And it occurred as the men were parting from Him that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is delightful and good that we are here; and let us construct three booths or huts--one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah! not noticing or knowing what he was saying. But even as he was saying this, a cloud came and began to overshadow them, and they were seized with alarm and struck with fear as they entered into the cloud. Then there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, This is My Son, My Chosen One or My Beloved ; listen to and yield to and obey Him!

From the Bible passage above, Peter John and James were with our Lord Jesus Christ. Whilst the master was praying, they were sleeping.

Many Christians are still sleeping just like the disciples were asleep Many are asleep whereas they think they are awake. You can be awake physically but be asleep spiritually. As some of us know that whatever happens in the physical life is first settled in the spiritual realm. Basically the spiritual realm controls the physical. 

Until the disciples were awake they were unaware of what was going on in their surroundings. They only saw the parting of Elijah and Moses they were unaware of the conversation that transpired between them(Jesus, Moses and Elijah).

For instance when you are sleeping, if anyone wakes you up and ask you to sign a contract some people will just sign but some will just start saying something else. It's because sleep mode is activated all your senses are not function the way they would when you are awake. Thesame thing happens when you are asleep spiritually you are less aware of your surroundings.

As believers it can be dangerous to be spiritually asleep. Your consciousness in the spirit world can save you from a lot of damage both spiritually and physically. To attain the level of being spiritually alert is not a ball game.Verse 38 of the passage above says Jesus took with Him. That is you must be chosen, your availability at times matters, if you are not available you can be replaced.

For those whom He foreknew [of whom He was aware and loved beforehand], He also destined from the beginning [foreordaining them] to be molded into the image of His Son [and share inwardly His likeness], that He might become the firstborn among many brethren.

It is true that before we were created God knew us. It is also essential that we identify ourselves with Him. The disciples were set apart known to be followers of Christ everywhere they go to. Is not that they are disciple in the morning, a trader in the afternoon and a thug in the night. They were seperated ready, determined, dilligent and focused.

Apart from God's glory being evident in our lives, when we get to Heaven we will be able to see The fullness of His glory. We must be ready to do all it takes to partake in His glory both on earth and when we get to Heaven.

Don't be too busy to be unable to become busy for God. God's business is your business your heritage. The price was paid by Jesus on calvary making you and I qualified to be used of God. Making us worthy to stand before God regardless of our past as long as we are redeemed we have a glorious future. You cannot behold that glory except you are in Christ.

As the lyrics of the song I shared above says I'll cross the Hottest desert,  I'll travel near or far. We must be ready to give up somethings that is or will hold us back from beholding God's glory. We must be ready to give our all to achieve what God has predestined us to achieve as believers.

Hell was not created for you and I ( it was created for devil and his demons). Heaven is our home there is a place still available for you if you're yet to identify and live for Christ. If you have negelected your duty because of the fantasies of life  run back travel that journey, retrace your step now. Come home He is still waiting for you. He will not give up and hasn't given up on you.

You are chosen, special, different, a child and vessel of God. Don't think you are less qualified or there is no quality in you that is useful to God. He placed something within you that He wants you to utilise in a way that will glorify Him.

Let us pray.
Lord Jesus I thank you for this word you have sent to me. Forgive my sins Lord I acknowledge and accept you as my father, Lord and saviour. Come and live in me, also I release myself for your use Lord. Father keep me on the right track so that I will be worthy to behold your glory and thank you Lord for waking me up spiritually help me to stay awake spiritually and physically so I can function the way you want me to in Jesus name amen.

The Dream of Joseph felt like it won't happen. (Patience)
He hung on to it still(Faith).
When it came to manifestation.
It happened like a chain reaction.
Promoted from no man to a dictator.
Then His voice was heard.
Nations around couldn't overrule his command because it was his set time.

Ruth could have left Naomi after losing her husband but there was a hidden glory attached to her story in the household of her late husband. When the set time came she and Boaz became one.

David was a chosen vessel right from young age. He was doing well but he fell into sin with Bathsheba not that alone he used the sin of murder to cover the sin of adultery. He lost the first child from this unholy union but the Lord had mercy on him, he arose and gave him solomon.

Today you might have written yourself off because of sin, unbelief or circumstances surrounding you. Why not go to the Lord in prayer hand it over to Him. Your set time is here. Have faith in God's power.

He has positioned you where you are presently because He wants to bring the best out of you, your life and position isn't for your personal gain alone, you are born to be a blessing and to impact lives to the glory of God.

Don't hold anything back give Him your all, you will never be empty by doing that. He will renew your strength every morning because He visits you daily.

By allowing Him to have your all, inspirations will flow divinely into you. As no one can specifically say where the clouds ends or moves to even though its vivid to human eyes that clouds move. That is how no man on earth will see but will not be able to see the end of the inspiration and blessings that flows in the life of whoever gives their all to God.

And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour. And when her masters saw that the hope of their gains was gone, they caught Paul and Silas, and drew them into the marketplace unto the rulers,"

The world we live in now is technologically advanced. There is hardly a part of the world yet to be reached by the advancement in technology. Although some are yet to experience technology.

With this wild fire rate that modernisation or technology is advancing lives are being saved and unsuspecting lives are being destroyed.

Some people don't know what damage or good technology is having on their lives. I want to say none of this improvement in modernisation is unknown to God. Remember no leaf fall off its branch without the knowledge of God. Therefore all the knowledges and initiatives brought together to improve technology is from God.

Having said that, you must be careful of what you deduce from this improvement. This days you don't need to get home to keep  up  with the NEWS when you are out and about, even the weather is in your pocket or bag via your smart phone, tablets and other devices.

Things in Life are becoming much more easily accessible, communication has improved greatly.

In the Bible passage above Acts16:16-19, the damsel possessed with the spirit of divination was being used by some people as an instrument for their own personal gain. Although what she said about Paul and Silas was right but the source with which she got it was wrong.  Paul commanded the spirit to come out and it did come out. She was free from being used as another man's gain. She was free from being a  mouth piece conveying a message from a wrong source to an unsuspecting audience.

Thesame thing is happening in our days now, we watch programmes on T.V. read on social network, listen to radio some just take to it straight away. Those messages or informations so to say are they benefitting your life or are you being bought or brain washed in your closet from what you used your hard earned money to purchased?

Do you seat to watch programmes that bring shame to the body of Christ?

Do you read articles that contradicts all the word of God?

Permissive messengers and and heresis broadcasters are out there and they are captivating unsuspecting audience. Believers are falling prey of such and it's a shame they are not aware of the dangers and damages it has or will have on them.

Technology is an easy way to reach out, connect and impact but it can be for good and bad.

What trend are you following, are you among those who go for the "in thing what is in vogue but not in God". Yes In vogue but out of God. Remeber it's all perishable.
Don't be scared of who you are, it's much better to stand alone in believing the truth and God than be in a crowd of false teachers.

You came to the world alone and you will leave alone. God forbid even if you leave this world with others same day, time and place the journey will be alone not together.

We are end time now, If the trumpet should sound now, many that would be left behind wouldn't need to travel from their country of origin to anywhere before getting the mark of the beast. I pray that we will not partake in such in Jesus name amen.

The Bible says in Hosea 4:6" My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge,  because thou has rejected Knowledge I will also reject thee. That thou shall be no priest in me seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God. I will also forget thy children". 
Do not compromise your faith, don't be caught unawares like the unsuspecting audience.

John 8:31-32 KJV"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
The truth you know and do is the one that will set you free even a believer that knows the truth and fail to do it might live in captivity till.

Technology is good and I will say it's been a useful and productive thing to me as an individualand it will continue to be. I use it to impact my life and lives around me to the glory of God.

Dear friend watch out and don't fall prey or become an unsuspecting audience.  Check what you watch, listen to or read.

Prayer
Thank you Lord Jesus for this new dawn all glory to you amen.

Thank you Lord for my family,  friends, colleagues,  parents, children,  spouse, church,  community and nation in Jesus name amen.

Lord thank you for your grace upon my life, without your grace I would have been disgraced all glory to you in Jesus name amen.

Thank you for your grace that sees me through all my endeavour halleluyah to your holy name in Jesus name amen.

Lord this day help me to walk/work righteously in your grace in Jesus mighty name amen.

Prayer
Father thank you for a new day in Jesus name amen.

Father I come to you this day to seek your mercy in all areas be merciful unto me in Jesus name amen.

Lord deliver me from the pursuit and attack of every enemies of my life in Jesus name amen.

Lord my trust is in you help me to overcome in all areas of life in Jesus  name amen.

I pray Lord increase your faith in me and turn every fear in me to nothing in Jesus name amen.

Prayer Ashes to beauty.

Isaiah 61:3 AMP
To grant [consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.

God has taken away all ashes and replaced them with beauty.

My Father is re-writing my story.

My time of greater exploit is here.

I am stepping higher in grace, mercy, favour, goodness, breakthrough,  success, holiness, faith and heavenly blessings.

I will not look back, I am distinguished for grateness  in Jesus name amen.

Prayer;
Heavenly father I thank you for giving me the grace to witness this day in Jesus name amen.

Father give me a heart that is receptive to correction henceforth in Jesus name amen.

Father deliver me from any foolish ways I am on that seem right to me in Jesus name amen.

Father give me a discerning heart in Jesus name amen.

Oh Lord let me be satisfied with the little I have and not seek after things that will take away your fear from me or take me away from your vineyard in Jesus name amen.
