Praise the Lord for another opportunity to witness a great month and privilege to wait on Him in praying and fasting. God has been faithful, He has been great and He will always remain God, the unchangeable changer.

Father we worship your name for the grace given to us to this very minute, we thank you lord because you are always there for us, as we go into the word and prayer speak to us individually and as a group, let your word shed light on all darkness and let the glory be yours at the end in Jesus name amen.

The word for the prayer and fasting is titled God's Chosen. To be chosen by God means to be a special and divine choice. God loves all of us either believer or not we can't dispute that fact because it's even recorded in John 3:16 the extent of His love. 

You can love so many people but have the ones that are dear to your heart. A chosen vessel or person by God, is someone with an important value not just to God but the kingdom of God and generations to come.

The reference verse is  1 Sam 16:1,12-13 this is the story of how David was announced as the chosen one. If you follow the story from the beginning including the vese that preceded the referenced verses, you will note that when Samuel saw David's older brother he thought some of them were the one due to their appearance but God said no until Jesse sent for David who was on the field the youngest one and the one whol looked less equipped stature wise and all.

One thing about God is that, He doesn't chose based to the intellect of a natural man or physique of an ordinary man. Who would have thought that the youngest the little boy, the less equipped will be the one to use home made weapon to get rid of the tormenter of Israel. There were trained warriors and soldiers but God used David instead.

We won't be focusing much on David but relating his story to our present days. Many of us are unaware that we are God's chosen. We have totally forgotten that He chose us, He brought us out of miry clay and set our feet on the rock. You do not have to mount a pulpit to be chosen by God.

Right on the field, that was where David was, God already chose him before he was anointed. You might be at the field, or in a place you least expect God to use you because in your understanding this is not a theologically acquired post, or its not an enviroment for God. However, the Bible says in Psalms 24:1 that the earth is the lord's and the fullness thereof.

There is no where we are that God can not choose or decide to use us. It doesn't matter how important or less important the office you occupy is right now, you are there for a purpose. As a matter of fact as a believer true born again Christian you and I are chosen by God.

And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

In the Bible verse above it is glaring that a true believer is meant to occupy till Christ returns. The business of the kingdom of God is our business. When I use the word business as it's used in some versions of the Bible it doesn't necessarily mean monetary transaction. It's the transaction of souls through the blood of Jesus that was already shed of Calvary to pay for all the sin. Our assignment as His ambassador is to ensure that those who are unaware of this becomes aware, come to the side of salvation, abide, grow and multiply.

There has been so many false teaching in our world today and the love of many are daily waxing cold but as a chosen vessel of God we must not allow what has become a daily occurrence of this world to stop us from doing His will. 

As God's chosen your life and my life is beyond living to make ends meet, it mainly to live to make it to Him at the end. It's not about the things we can acquire on this earth alone but the treasures we have in heaven.

Being God's chosen on this earth doesn't necessarily mean we must live in suffering or penury or whatever is below standards of God as some may see it. God loves us so much and He let us know that He will never leave or forsake us. So no matter the persecution we may face because of the path we have chosen to follow Christ He is there with us.

My question to you today is are you happy to be chosen by God?

Are you still available to occupy till He comes?

Are you confused about why He chose you?

Do you answer yes to any of this? To start with, He chose you because you are special, it's not waste of time to occupy till you see Christ in glory and do not be confused why you are chosen because He knew you from the beginning of creation and ensured you are on earth now for such a time as this.

No matter where we find ourselves ensuring that the love of Christ is felt and Christ is known is our duty. It's not just the duty of the pastors, evangelist, or ministers it is our duty as a believer with earthly title or not.

My prayer is we will recognize why He chose us and run with the calling He gave to us as His chosen one. Do not stop doing what He has called you to do, no matter how little you do you are making a difference.

Father thank you for this amazing opportunity to know you more and my purpose through your word

Lord have mercy on me in anyway I have not worked or walked in your will

Lord grant me divine and abundant grace to occupy until you come

Lord remove every doubt or situation that brings doubt into me

Lord increase my faith in you and help me to walk in your will forever

Lord in every office I gain access to here on this earth give me grace to sow the right seed that will lead souls to you

Our father in heaven we worship your majesty and honour you for being our God and help. Thank you father for another privilege to share your word and be spoken to through the word, we ask father that you will be glorified through it all in Jesus name amen.

The Topic says "Being strong" the statement is continuous, it didn't just say be strong which may be applicable to a certain time alone but "being strong".

Strength is something we all need each and everyday to actually carry out our physical activity. You may wonder how, if you do not have the strength to sit up from lying in bed you might find it difficult to even transfer from supine to sitting on the edge of the bed.

If you do not have strength to lift a cup of tea and you're asked to carry a 50litres of water you may fall down.

You cannot expect a two year old to have the strength to pull a 🐎 horse, the strength of the horse outweighs that of the child in so many ways.

However if you ask someone who rides the horse🐎🐎 professionally they can pull the horse and direct it, not because of their profession by title but because of years of experience,consistency and tenacity that has made them as strong as they are to control the horse.

When you think of being strong spiritually, it doesn't just come suddenly on a day, it's something you build up, it happens gradually, it's something that you start one day but with daily consistency you discover that you are not thesame as you started.

The world we live in now can make the strongest Man the weakest link if the person is unsure of who they are and where they belong.

Turning on the NEWS on daily basis there is hardly a good news that builds faith and strength it's filled with fear and the judgement of man.

The scripture we are focussing on says " *Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith (your conviction respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it)."* From the amplified classic version.

I shared three different versions so we can all read and understand the word.

This version breaks it down, the word alert, in you favour, respecting the relationship of man with God.

This speaks volume, there is no how you can continue being strong as a believer without a true relationship with God. Not just that alone you must stand firm and be alert, that means when others are dosing off just like the wise five maidens you will keep your lamp filled with oil and burning because the comfort of sleeping or losing focus or not being at alert should never override the relationship you have with God.

The unwise maiden forgot to fill their lamps with oil and they dosed off they weren't alert when the groom came and that was how they missed it.

Going back to man's relationship with God, when you are on a loving relationship you never want to hurt the person, now imagine relationship with the one who created the entire universe, your strength is divine because you will not think of how limited your strength is in the physical capacity but what God has deposited in you. This deposit only gets better if you are alert and in constant and consistent relationship with God.

The latter part of the verse says, " *Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength* !" It should never be misunderstood that man has a limited capacity when he functions alone but when he functions with God on his side his capacity and capabilities is supernatural.

As long as we are still on this body we will still act like men but the difference is we will do it courageously, that courage isn't based on our finance, our health, our net worth, our degrees and accolades but the strength that comes from Christ, the strength we get from knowing Jesus and having a constant relationship with Him.

In life we may face challenges, we may face tribulations, uncertainty might be the order of the day but this should never pull us down.

We know that our strength is not limited of we tap into that divine strength which is in Christ Jesus.

I don't know what level or stage or phase you are in your life right now, you may be saying, "I have done all I can", "I keep pushing". "Where have I gone wrong?", "But God I serve you why did you allow this?"

No matter what the circumstances is, this message is for you, God wants you to continue to being strong always, build your faith on His word, trust Him to finish it.

He never said we won't pass through trials, His promise is that when we do, He will be with us through the end.

You know the amazing thing is that God is carrying you even when you feel like you are too weak, where you feel like you have exhausted all channels no more power, nothing to turn to.

He that watches over Israel will never leave nor forsake you.

Being strong is not for the weak at heart, being strong is not for those who can't work or walk by faith, being strong is not for those who allow worry, unforgiveness, negative confession consume th. It's for those who know that in all things you give thanks to the alpha and omega, it's for those who know that in Him they live, move and have their being.

Where is that issue today.. Declare I will continue to be strong because it will end in praise in Jesus name amen.

Father thank you for your word that you sent to me this day

Lord thank you for increasing the zeal to trust you and walk in your will in me

Father where worry doubt, unforgivess, lack of hope, lack of faith has lived as parasite in my life let your fire consume them.

Lord in this situation (mention it) help me to be strong even when my physical power fail me

Lord remove whatever has been a barrier to my relationship with you henceforth in Jesus name
