Text:"And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.  Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah."1 Samuel 16:12-13 KJV

Glory be to the great I Am for the opportunity given to us to witness another month end and period of waiting in fasting and prayer. If not for God where would you and I be? His grace has kept us this far, i can testify to the fact that if not for His grace i won't be here Hallelujah.

The theme of this month is quite encouraging and challenging, i believe we all know a little bit about David. I remember in Primary School i learnt a song "little David killed goliath hallelujah" the story of David in the Bible is one of the famous one how a shepherd boy became a king. Infact David's mother was not mentioned in the Bible. Bible scholars say his birth is questionable, just as many great people this day have a questionable birth. I was listening to a man of God the other day and He said "only your mother know whom your father is" So David's mother must have left him with his father to bring him up because she indeed knew that he was the father.

From the passage above we can see how David was anointed among His brothers who were grown up and down to ordinary human eye they should be the king but God looks farther than outward apppearance.  Apart from David there was another fellow in the Bible who's beginning from being born with silver spoon tutned sour then glorious

"And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?  And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.  Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!  And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely shew thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.  And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?  Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants." 2 Samuel 9:1-2, 6-8, 10 KJV

Mephibosheth the son of Jonathan had kingship in him. Having fell down from the hands of his minder which resulted in him crippled he spent his life as a commoner. The day God brought the case of Mephibosheth to David's remembrance was the day of his breakthrough. Mephibosheth thought David wanted to harm him not knowing he wanted to honour him.

We all can identify one way or the other with Mephibosheth, we probably as a child of God had a lot of promises unfulfilled we are hiding away from issues that appears way too big but today God that cause the book of rememberance to open concerning Mephibosheth will let it be opened concerning us. We will begin to operate in the kingship of Christ decendant henceforth in Jesus name.

There is a day attached to each individual's breakthrough. There is a man/woman attached to help you fulfill purpose. There is a land ordained for you to be established and become enlarged in coast. To every thing in life there is a time and season. The time and season for Mephibosheth's kingship to manifest wasn't when he was born into the household of Saul it was many years later after divers experience. I don't know how poor or great your life experience has been just hang on to the fact that God still has a purpose that is why you are here and indeed a king is in you.

Another way that is most important for us to know if we have a king in us is the legibility of our salvation how clear are we about our salvation? Are we claiming to be saved just because many are, are we still in the right standing with Jesus? You cannot access the kingship in Christ Jesus except you truly identify with Him by making Him your lord and saviour.

May God open our eyes of understanding so we know what level we are in Him and how we can truly manifest the kingship in us in Jesus name.

Let us Pray

Father i thank you for the opportunity to wait on you this month and for the grace of life in Jesus name

Lord Jesus have mercy on me and forgive all my sins in Jesus name

Father in anyway i have lost my legibility of salvation forgive me and restore unto me the joy of my salvation in Jesus name

Father i rededicate my life to you accept me in Jesus name

Oh lord ressurect my destiny from anywhere it's been crippled and buried in Jesus name

Father as you cause divine location to manifestation of promises to take place in the life of  Mephibosheth divinely orchestrate my steps to where my destiny will be fulfilled in Jesus name

Henceforth i frustrate every effort causing me to be limited to live like a commoner where i ougth to be a royal in Jesus name

Father change my story today in your mercy and let my testimony be permanent in Jesus name

Close but not connected

I believe we all understand the word close and connected. As much there is a little bit of similarities they are two different words with different meanings.

In John 5:2-9 KJV "Now there is at Jerusalem by the sheep market a pool, which is called in the Hebrew tongue Bethesda, having five porches.  In these lay a great multitude of impotent folk, of blind, halt, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.  For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.  And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.  When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?  The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.  Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.  And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked: and on the same day was the sabbath."

At some point we must have read or heard about the story of the man by the pool of Bethesda. For 38 years he was so close to the pool but never connected to the power that delivered others who went to the pool before or after him. From the passage above we can see that the man was not the only one in need but others got connected and did not just stay close and their needs were met.

In Acts 3:1-7 KJV "Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour.  And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple;  Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms.  And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us.  And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.  Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.  And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength."

A similar story to that of the man by the pool of Bethesda is the man by the beautiful gate. He came there daily helped by well wishers just to beg for alms. He must have some good techniques that will prompt people to give him when he begs but on the day he got his healing he didn't just stay close to the temple but got connected by asking the disciples.

How does this apply to you? Many go to church,serve, spend and get spent but remain close and not connected to Messiah their maker. You are there 100.9% times yet you are far from having a real connection like the man by the beautiful gate and the one by the pool you stay close. You remain a sign post, your life hardly shows the proof of your faith in God. Don't get me wrong our total dedication to serve God is very important.

You wonder why people who came after you get what you have waited for years just like that. Many fall into this category just because they chose to be an observer, you are in this world for a purpose not to start counting how much a celebrity has gained or how blessed a vessel of God is. That same God who created them created you and He has placed at your disposal greater things you just need to identify them.

You need to come out of your comfort zone to achieve what you thought you can't. Until the man at the beautiful gate asked the disciples, his healing did not come. If he had said to Paul well if you don't have money i'm not interested he probably would have died a beggar. If the man by the pool didn't agree with Jesus that he needed healing he would probably spend his entire life till he died by the pool infact when he dies they will probably put a statue in memorial of him.

Today ask yourself am i actually connected to my maker as He wants me to or am i just one of the people that hail blessings from afar yet in need and getting by without any change. God wants you to be connected to him, don't say well I'm a worker or a believer that is enough. There are better things that God expects from you because He has deposited great seed in you. Identify that which has crippled you and cry out to Him to free you so liberty can come and divine speed can take you to fulfill purpose.

Brethren don't just stay close by marking register stay connected by actually fufilling purpose why you are created. Heaven is waiting, lives attached to your destiny are waiting, don't waste the gift by just being there make sure you are relevant to the glory of God wherever you find yourself.
