The wisdom of God is something every true child of God must deeply desire, regardless of how many accolades or achievements we have or hope to attain. It is godly wisdom that makes a person exceptional and divinely guided beyond natural understanding.
Today, we’ll take a brief look at the person of Bezalel. In Exodus 31, we are introduced to Bezalel, including his lineage, which connects him to the tribe of Judah. But what stands out most is that God Himself recognized Bezalel and drew Moses’ attention to him. God declared that He had filled Bezalel with divine skill, wisdom, understanding, and craftsmanship. This means Bezalel didn’t just have technical ability, he possessed God-given know-how and expertise that set him apart.
Although this message is centered on children, it also applies to us as adults. When we pray for God’s wisdom, for ourselves or for our children, we should also ask Him for that know-how expertise that comes only from Him. A person may learn a skill, like plumbing, but without divine know-how, they might never stand out among others in the same trade. Similarly, you can have a degree in business administration yet lack the divine insight that distinguishes you.
God also showed His wisdom by appointing the right partner for Bezalel, Oholiab. Their partnership demonstrates how divine alignment brings success. When God sends the right people into your life, friends, colleagues, or partners, things begin to fall into place effortlessly because those relationships are ordained by Him.
As parents and individuals, we must continually pray for the right people to be in our circle and in our children’s lives. The wrong associations can derail God’s purpose for us, but the right ones can help us fulfill it. And beyond just having the right people, it’s vital that those people are spiritually aligned with our God-given purpose and destiny.
The associations you keep can either elevate or diminish you. Some friendships or partnerships can bless your destiny, while others can mar it from the very beginning. Therefore, pray not just for wisdom, but for divine know-how and godly connections—because those are the combinations that lead to an exceptional, purpose-filled life.
[1-5] God spoke to Moses: “See what I’ve done; I’ve personally chosen Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur of the tribe of Judah. I’ve filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him skill and know-how and expertise in every kind of craft to create designs and work in gold, silver, and bronze; to cut and set gemstones; to carve wood—he’s an all-around craftsman. [6-11] “Not only that, but I’ve given him Oholiab, son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan, to work with him. And to all who have an aptitude for crafts I’ve given the skills to make all the things I’ve commanded you: the Tent of Meeting, the Chest of The Testimony and its Atonement-Cover, all the implements for the Tent, the Table and its implements, the pure Lampstand and all its implements, the Altar of Incense, the Altar of Whole-Burnt-Offering and all its implements, the Washbasin and its base, the official vestments, the holy vestments for Aaron the priest and his sons in their priestly duties, the anointing oil, and the aromatic incense for the Holy Place—they’ll make everything just the way I’ve commanded you.”
By the time we get to Exodus 36, it’s clear that the friendship, partnership, and collaboration between Bezalel and Oholiab, the ones God Himself chose—had grown even stronger. They continued to do greater works together, and their skills did not fade. Instead, their purpose was being steadily fulfilled, just as the Lord had planned for them.
One vital aspect of praying for our children is asking God to open both their spiritual and physical eyes when it comes to choosing friends or partners. When the Lord speaks directly to them, they will understand for themselves why certain relationships are not right. It won’t merely seem as though their parents are being overprotective or disapproving they will be able to discern people rightly, sense the kind of spirit that operates within them, and know whether or not those individuals align with their God-given purpose.
As parents, we must also continually pray for discernment, asking the Lord to reveal who is truly around us and our children. If there are wolves in sheep’s clothing, they cannot hide from God. The Lord exposes all things; no matter how well hidden a situation may seem, He reveals every secret in His time and His way.
Exodus 36:1 MSG

We live in a world today where the enemy and his agents appear in many disguises. As parents, it’s essential to walk in the wisdom of God and remain sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. At times, God may prompt you to speak directly to your children, offering guidance and correction. Other times, He may call you to your knees, to speak not to the child, but to the One who created them, so that He can intervene in ways only He can.
Never underestimate the power or influence of a negative partner, friend, or colleague in shaping your child’s life or destiny. God entrusted you with that child for a divine reason; He chose you to be their custodian because He knew you were equipped for the task. Guard that sacred responsibility diligently, and do not allow the enemy to disrupt or destroy God’s purpose for you or your children.

Abba Father, thank You for Your mercy that continually triumphs over judgment.
Lord, I am deeply grateful for the privilege of parenthood and for the wisdom You have graciously given me to guide the child or children You have entrusted to my care.
Thank You, Lord, for granting me divine understanding and clarity in raising them according to Your purpose and plan.
Today, I release my child or children into Your loving hands. Fill their hearts with reverence for You and with a deep love for Your truth.
Everlasting Father, let the spirit of discernment rest richly upon them, so they may clearly know right from wrong and choose the path that leads to life.
Lord, frustrate every plan of the enemy designed to connect them with the wrong people or divert them from their destiny.
I decree that every negative association or influence set to truncate their destiny ends today, in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, just as You filled Bezalel with wisdom, skill, and divine expertise, fill my children with the knowledge and ability they need to fulfill Your unique purpose for their lives.
And Lord, as You raised Oholiab to assist Bezalel, send the right people mentors, friends, and destiny helpers to walk and work with my children according to Your will.
For any child who has been misunderstood, misled, or strayed from Your path, Lord, bring them back to the place of Your divine alignment.
Father, remember every parent believing You for their own child. Bless them with the fruit of the womb, and let their joy be full, in Jesus’ name.
We decree that over every child, there shall be no loss in health, in purpose, or in destiny in the mighty name of Jesus.
Father, terminate every negative report or news concerning any of our children. Let no agenda of darkness prevail over them, here or anywhere in the world, in Jesus’ name.
Finally, Lord, fill our children and the children of the world with Your truth forever. May they grow in Your wisdom, walk in Your light, and fulfill their divine destinies, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
