I give glory to God almighty for the privilege to share this today. He is the one who alone deserves all the praise because all knowledge is from Him alone.

The topic says get rid of it and the text talks about anger. What is it we need to get rid of? Anger..

The dictionary says anger is a feeling of displeasure, annoyance and eventual hatred. To start with everyone is bound to feel angry at times it's part of human nature.

The Bible says "Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:"
Ephesians 4:26 KJV. Even God knows there will be things that might or will irritate us to get angry, but the word says be angry but do not sin. Hmmm! that is where the caution is, How can I get angry and not sin.

First the principal text says be not hasty to be angry because anger resteth in the bossom of a fool. I think this is an eye opener and a control measure for anyone who wants to get rid of anger. At times people say anger is an hereditary traits. I don't know how that was arrived at but I know that some traits are learnt from people you grow up with or even community.

Anyone can get angry but not everyone can control their anger. But the word of God is saying to us to be in control take charge and do not let anger take charge of you. One of the great way of getting rid of anger is understanding the word of God and applying it to our daily living. Don't just commit to memory the word of God without bringing it to life in your actions and reaction everyday.

When you are guided by the word of God it is very difficult for anger to take charge of you. When you are guided by the word of God, you gradually get rid of anger by the word of God because you want to live a life that please God.

Anger is a reaction or action to things that hurts or belittles our personality. When things aren't going your way or people gets on your nerves you are prone to get angry. Some people even provoke you to the time of getting angry either purposely or unpurpose. As believer we are meant to carry Christ everywhere we go, that is at work, home, business place, school everywhere we find ourselves.

I know at times it can be something so little that triggers anger in you but God's grace is there for us. To get rid of anger we can daily confess our weakness and ask God to continue to be our strength that He is and give us grace to handle all situations that we will come across.

When you are angry your spirit man is troubled and as believer when we became born again it is our spirit that became born again our body remains thesame. So that is why if we fail to live by the leading of the Holy Spirit who is in charge of our spirit, we will easily fall victim of the works of flesh constantly.

The Bible says "For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones."
Isaiah 57:15 KJV

For those who allow the spirit of God to take over them anger has no place in them. One of the best and ultimate ways of getting rid of anger is to allow the spirit of God to take over your life totally. When God is in charge anger has no place. The foolishness of anger cannot stand in the wisdom and power of God.

So I want to admonish you to get rid of anger by allowing the spirit of God to take full cause over your life and daily living.

Mighty father I worship you for your everlasting and unfailing love for me in Jesus name

Everlasting king thank you for your wonderful word that constructs lives in Jesus name

Ancient of days thank you for not leaving me regardless of my short comings in Jesus name

Mighty God I release myself unto you in anyway I struggle with anger or any works of flesh grant me grace to overcome them in Jesus name

Lord fill me with your spirit henceforth and get rid of anger from my life in Jesus name

Holy spirit take charge over all I will be doing henceforth in Jesus name

Thank you Lord for answered prayers in Jesus name
