Another Chapter In the life of an Honourable Mother

Tracey is a mum of two married to John a Bsc holder but ambitionless man.

Tracey like any other woman in this position ready to keep her home works her butt off in order to provide for the home. She is a mother, father, wife, friend, teacher and whatever you can think of at the same time. She never allow her husband's lack of ambition to limit her from caring for her family.

One day, after years of just being there as the man of the house, John packed and left the wife and kids never to look back. It was a difficult time for Tracey as she couldn't manage working the hours she does and still look after her kids.

Living in a western world she feared the worst like the authorities taking her children into care if she can't look after them. She reduced her hours at work which means her income was reduced as well.

She started using her talent as a pianists to organise after school activities for her kids. After some months of excellent performance in school music classes, other kids started enrolling. This was after many nights of sharing the last meal in the house between her two kids while she goes to bed hungry crying to God almighty.

She questioned God! Every time she read Psalms 121 till it became an anthem to her as she commited the verses to memory and personalise it. One day when her kids were chosen for awards and she was there to cheer them up. As the first child was receiving one award the other was being called for another award. On getting home those kids said "mum you deserve this award we only took them on your behalf because you taught us more than we were being taught at school."  with tears in Tracey's eyes she embraced her children weeping in thanks to God for His provision and guidance.

Some years down the line while her children were in the higher institution she enrolled for music professional degree as well as child psychology programme. She graduated same year as her last child.

Tracey a woman left to take care of two kids while their father left them now became a professional music lecturer as well as a child psychologist.

Does this story seem like yours? Do you identify yourself as or with Tracey?

It's been a while since i wrote to the Honourable Mother. What was Tracey's crime? Heaven knows!

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the gift of raising a child up on your own?
Are you being left out by the world around you? Do you feel like the whole world is crumbling on top of your head?

Unlike Tracey you don't have the courage talent or faith to move on.

Stop! No matter how difficult the situation may be as an Honourable Mother i want you to know that God is able. God will never give you more than you can handle. He will never leave nor forsake you or let your enemies rejoice over you.

Never see your child/children as a burden. The story of Tracey might or might not relate to you but many women/mothers suffer in silence. Many can take the pain even to their grave. This isn't the plan of God for you at all. His plans for you are to have a greater and better end.

Look at your child/children can you buy them in the market? God has placed a unique gift in each child the origin of their birth will never stop God from being God over their life. That child is fearfully and wonderfully made.

Honourable Mother you are doing a great job and Heaven alone can reward your efforts. Hang on to Jehovah all the way and you will laugh soon.
