Be Inspired End of Month Fasting and Prayers Thursday 29th - Saturday31st May 2014

Theme: "Divine Release "
Text : Acts 12 : 5-10
"Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church. And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison. Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands. Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.” So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision. When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him."

When something is said to be divine it means it involves a supernatural power, connection or existence.  When you release something it must have been on hold or captive in order to use the word release. So Divine release is the freedom that involves supernatural intervention.

From the above text we read of how Peter was kept in prison and how the Lord sent an Angel to release Him. Prior to the release of Peter the church folks prayed for his released. Herod's plan was to destroy or terminate the life of Peter but God disgraced the power of man to show that He alone has the power that can not be questioned.

The chains that bound Peter and the guards that kept watch on Him did not stop God from doing His work neither did that stop Peter from having faith in God. The church folks that interceded for Peter must have a clue of what could be happening to Peter but that did not stop them from believing in the power of prayer. Without doubt they cried in unity and made their request known to God.

Peter was asleep when the angel came in and tapped him and when he arose as the angel said the chains he was bound with fell on the floor. He arose quickly he didn't say why or question the motive of the angel. He identified that something extraordinary was about to take place. On getting to the gates they opened of their own accord.

Many are times we feel bound to a position, instead of intensifying our prayers and believing in God we settle for the curse that is ready to ruin us, we doubt the power of God. The enemy of our soul is always waiting for the tiny spec of doubt that he will turn to saw dust in order to take faith from us and replace it with fear.

If Peter had kept the taunting of Herod in his mind maybe when the angel came to release him he would have refused or be insensitive to the one who was before him. To tap into divine release we must be obedient to divine instructions even when its unpleasant.  Divine instructions can come in any form or shape. But it always have motives to show the mightiness of God and declare His glory.

I don't know how long you have felt bound in any area of life, probably you don't feel connected spiritually as you ought to because things look unpleasant.  Maybe its financial bondage whatever it is stand up put on the garment of faith and follow the leadings of the Lord. Don't question His authority but follow it.

Do you regard that issue as iron gate? Just as the iron gate opened on His own for Peter to go through your problems will move out of your ways for you to  go higher in Jesus name amen.

Whoever wants to experience Divine Release must have relationship with God. It doesn't just happen by luck.  Your relationship with God will take you farther than where your eye sight can lead you to in life.  Being bound in a place is not a happy thing. The number one thing that kills man faster is restriction of freedom and loneliness.  Imagine being able to move around and all of a sudden you are bound your spirit will cry out for freedom even if your mouth isn't opening.

Divine release can come in any form. In the book of Daniel 10:12-14  we read about  Daniel been told that from the day he prayed God answered his prayer but the prince of persia withheld the answer until angel Michael came to the rescue. When answers of prayers have been granted but the prince of persia baricade the way, We need to pray for divine release of such answer. You might not even know what you need divine release for but when the Lord open your eyes you will understand better.

I decree upon my existence today that whatever it is that is stopping me from experiencing the hand of God today I enter into divine release and I will experience the hand of God in Jesus name amen.  Your focus must be on God to encounter divine release you must not be doubtful or disobedient.  God needs your full attention so that you can encounter divine release don't seek answer from man made god when God has the answers. I pray that God will open our heart and eyes to understand Him more in Jesus name amen.
