A word for you!
Matthew 18:6 AMP
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea.
The Rope Holder.....
This portion of the scripture is deep and can seem cruel to some people. People in place of authority (parents, teachers, uncles, aunties, grandparents, Pastors, sunday school teacher, Choir leader and so on). Whatever category you fall in as long as you have children of God looking up to you, one way or the other you are holding a rope of a mentor or role model. What type of role model are you? you can mislead or lead right. You say well they are not my children or better still they have their lives ahead of them they will learn as they go. You are mistaking the fact that people learn from what they see more than what they are taught. God has placed you in that position of authority to lay good examples. Today let us check ourselves, are we worth to be called good rope holders when it comes to mentoring children? Mentoring young believers, mentoring adults or elders? You and I will give account one day, take it upon yourself to be a good model with God's help. Don't become a mini god all in the name of the position you hold. The person you condemn instead of correcting him/her in love needs you to be there for them spiritually, physically and in all the areas God gives you the grace. Don't abuse the position, hold the rope and lead right depending fully on divine leading of God and not man power.
