A word for you !

A word for you.

Esther 1:16, 19, 21 AMP
And Memucan answered before the king and the princes, Vashti the queen has not only done wrong to the king but also to all the princes and to all the peoples who are in all the provinces of King Ahasuerus. If it pleases the king, let a royal command go forth from him and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and Medes, so that it may not be changed, that Vashti is to [be divorced and] come no more before King Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal position to another who is better than she. This advice pleased the king and the princes, and the king did what Memucan proposed.

The Rope Holder. .
Most of us are familiar with the story of Queen Vashti in the book of Esther. While studying this portion of the scripture something jumped out like I have never read it before. The decision of King Ahasuerus to replace Vashti wasn't made by him. Memucan who was an advisor to the king suggested what should be done to Vashti so that such behaviour would not be copied by other house wives across the land. The king did not even hesitate, he agreed and a decree was passed to affirm that decision. Memucan was a rope holder, if he had advised that the queen be purnished and given back her position or be killed the king might have done that. We all have people like Memucan in our lives and family. People who solicits either positively or negatively over our lives. Having watched lots of African home movies, in some you will see people who report others to their group (witches/cultist) there is always a vital decision that they act upon. If they choose to change that person's destiny so be it, some are killed, some are taught life changing lessons just like in the case of Vashti.  Today friends I want us to pray that anyone born of woman that makes it their duty to solicit negatively in order to terminate our assignments or have us replaced the Lord should terminate their position in Jesus name amen.
May the Lord save us and ours from the likes of Memucan in Jesus name amen.
Have a glorious day!
