Theme: Divine liberty

Text: So if the Son sets you free, you will be free.

 John 8:36 NET 

Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is present, there is freedom.

 2 Corinthians 3:17 NET 

Glory be to God for another glorious opportunity to witness another month's end and to be able to partake of the prayer and fasting. I pray Lord that you will minister to us all this period in Jesus' name.

Liberty means freedom and when something is divine it means it has a supernatural involvement in it. Our theme for the month is divine liberty which simply implies supernatural freedom. 

As a true child of God, we must be aware that the one that initiates divine intervention is God almighty, He calls the shots when it comes to divine involvement and it doesn't matter how many people need it at once it can all be done at the same time because He is omnipresent. So He won't delay Luca's intervention because He wants to do Jesse's one.

The Bible text John 8:36 says if the Son sets you free, you're free indeed. Who is the son, there is no other son that is being spoken of there than Jesus, and the fact that He is referred to as the son doesn't mean He has less power than the father because the son and the father are one. 2 Corinthians 3:17 further enlightens us that where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty because the lord is a spirit. We understand that the son the father and the Holy Spirit are one, you can't claim you have one without the other because when one of them is in you, you sure have all of them.

To broaden our understanding of divine liberty I will like us to read the story below that's from the scripture;

And he was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath.  And, behold, there was a woman which had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bowed together, and could in no wise lift up herself. And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity.  And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God. And the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because that Jesus had healed on the sabbath day, and said unto the people, There are six days in which men ought to work: in them therefore come and be healed, and not on the sabbath day. The Lord then answered him, and said, Thou hypocrite, doth not each one of you on the sabbath loses his ox or his ass from the stall, and lead him away to watering?  And ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan hath bound, lo, these eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the sabbath day?  And when he had said these things, all his adversaries were ashamed: and all the people rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

Luke 13:10‭-‬17 KJV

The woman in this story as Jesus referred to her was the daughter of Abraham. And we know that there is a promise for those in that generation because we are the seed of God. I say we because I am also a seed of Abraham and as many who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior have this privilege too. This woman had an infirmity that made her bend over, she was bent into two. You might wonder what kind of sickness could have led to that but I tell you some people still experience such in this day and age. She came to Jesus, she didn't come for alms but restoration. She came Jesus saw her and commanded that she be loosed and instantly without delay the one that was bent over became loose. Then the rulers of the synagogue started saying why it's Sabbath day, it's the sixth day but Jesus' response was do you not lose your ox on Sabbath and give it water to drink how much more the seed of Abraham.

To encounter divine liberty you must crave for it, you must prepare for it and you must be ready to live thereafter. This woman was bent over for 18years, do you think she hasn't come close to the synagogue before, maybe she did or maybe she didn't. The truth is no one could or would understand her predicament but her. You cannot tell someone you understand what they are going through if you haven't walked in their shoe or their path in life.

18years of not been able to stand straight, 18years of feeling worthless, 18 years of many things you can imagine that make one feel lesser than who they are. 18years but just within 18seconds which I am not sure it took that she met Jesus and the story changed.

To have divine liberty as mentioned earlier you must crave for it, that is it must be your utmost desire, you must be focused on how you will get it obviously from God and no other means.

You must prepare for it, many of us crave things but we aren't prepared. Have you ever seen a pregnant woman become less prepared to have nothing to cloth that child at birth except in rare cases where the mother is impoverished etc? If you desire marriage, job, relocation, healing, settlement, promotion, the fruit of the womb, academic progress, spiritual growth, etc you must be prepared. God gives to those who are prepared. David was already a shepherd boy always in charge before God sent Samuel to anoint him. At times we find ourselves in a position like David where we are passionate about things but God is using it to prepare us for the greater position. You must prepare for what you desire from God, you can't continue to walk in chains or keep boundaries around you and say God set me free. Many people keep themselves in chains through their word and mindset, is your mindset and utterance prepared for where you want to be.

It's like saying you want to make heaven but your utterance and attitude don't depict that instead, it validates you for the opposite place may we not miss heaven in Jesus' name but if you don't want to miss heaven prepare now.

The third thing is you must be ready to live thereafter. You can't assume the position of a king and start living like a pauper. You can't become a mother and start living childless etc all these things has to do 2ith our mindset. Where do you want to be, why do you need divine liberty, are you ready for it, am I ready for it.

The truth is once your mindset changes you will understand that you already have divine liberty. You wonder how, let's go back to the Theme verses, He who the Son has set free is free, and those who have the spirit of God have freedom so if you are already in Christ you have it. The reason you aren't seeing it may be linked to your mindset and how you envision life as a whole.

Perhaps you are still waiting for some striking thunder to cause liberty or freedom, you already have it, the word of God is God Himself John 1:1, how conversant are you in His word? It is important that if you 2ant to experience any divine encounter you must be ready to dig deep and be a doer of the word of God. Without this, you can easily be swayed into the wrong direction by the enemy because you do not know your right as the word of God puts it.

I pray today that the spirit of God will enlighten us all more, divine liberty is already available and the restoration is permanent. 

If you are yet to know Christ and accept Him as your Lord and savior say this prayer, Lord Jesus thank you for loving me and for dying for my sin, I come to you today I confess all my son's and release my life and entire being to you, henceforth be my lord and savior, I want to live in your righteousness in Jesus name amen.

Let us pray

Father thank you for your word, thank you for the dimensions and lights it sheds on our path

Lord thank you for a victory that I have received today as your word opened my eyes

Lord thank you for divine restoration in all aspects of my life 

Lord thank you for silencing opposition's at the edge of my breakthrough and after my breakthrough

I decree my life is enveloped in divine liberty all around

I decree I am no longer bound to failure, sickness, disgrace, shame, limitation, unfruitfulness, and every unpleasant occurrence or situations in Jesus name

I decree the lies of the enemy is permanently negated in my life so I live as the Lord wants me to

I decree over(mention) it is turning around for my good in Jesus name
