*Text:* 2 Corinthians 6:14-18

Heavenly father we magnify your name king of kings we exalt your majesty we give you praise and glory for you deserve it all you are wonderful counsellor, the gentle redeemer, the root of Jesse. Lord we commit our gathering this evening into your hands take preeminence speak to and through us lord teach us from your throne and at the end let your name only be glorified in Jesus name

Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war. Is light best friends with dark? Does Christ go strolling with the Devil? Do trust and mistrust hold hands? Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God’s holy Temple? But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives. God himself put it this way: “I’ll live in them, move into them; I’ll be their God and they’ll be my people. So leave the corruption and compromise; leave it for good,” says God. “Don’t link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I’ll be a Father to you; you’ll be sons and daughters to me.” The Word of the Master, God.

What do we understand by

*availability or available*

And

*Ability*
To be *Available:* according to online dictionary is
*_able to be used or obtained; at someone's disposal._*
While *ability:* means possession of the means or skill to do something.
Or capacity, potential, power, capability

Moving on to the scripture this evening
It says do not become partners with those who reject God...

To partner with someone you must have an agreement with that person. Amos 3:3 clarifies that.
Then the writer asked
How can you make a partnership out of right or wrong? That is not partnership that is war

It's like going to the market and you are bargaining for a good except the seller agrees with your set bargain you cannot take the good and leave. If you try it that is stealing because there is no agreement

Is light ☀✨ best friend with dark🌚?
Does Christ👼🏼 go strolling with the devil 😈

Do trust and mistrust hold hands🏽?
Who would think of setting up pagan idols in God's holy temple remember Daggon how it fell before the ark of covenant.
Then after all this questioning and illustrations he said

But that is exactly what we are, each of us a temple in whom God lives God himself put it this way;

I live in them move in them  I will be their God and they will be my people
As Acts 17:28 says in Him do I live move and have my being...
So leave the corruption and compromise leave it for good says God.

That is don't leave it today and return tomorrow a week later or year later.

Leave it be done with it
Do not link up with those who will pollute you. I want you all for myself. I will be a father to you you will be my sons and daughters
A *Temple:*
a building devoted to the worship of a god or gods.
We have given the definition of temple, to be available and ability.
And the Bible's scripture is self explanatory
Being available to God is not down to our ability...

You wonder how do I have to leave all that I do just to serve God or be available to God.

To start with you cannot be available to God except He has your attention.

It's like speaking to someone in the midst of the crowd and you are telling such person intimate information when the crowd are busy talking over you. It will be hard to get the full attention of such person and there is probability that such person will not get the whole.information you are passing to them or most likely be lost in the conversation not the crowd because their attention is divided
You cannot have a divided attention and say  you are available to God.. Many of us are seeking God but we are so preoccupied that our seeking is far from who we are seeking.

Imagine seeking for a contract, an employment, a business opportunity, you have left your contact details but your phone is always switched off and your voice mail say..

Welcome to the voice mail box of xxxxx unfortunately I am not reachable now, please do not leave a message, just keep calling thank you
And the phone is forever switched off
Then you start complaining of not getting employment contract or business opportunity
Who is to blame? Or who is at fault?
You cannot be preoccupied and say you are available for God in anyway.

As a believer we are to work in agreement with God
Sometimes many of us believe that when we are told or encouraged to be available for God it means you should be an ordained minister of God. But actually God wants to reign in your temple for your own benefit. Many of us believe that we need to have certain and specific ability to be available for God
It doesn't matter what position you hold in life even if you hold the highest office on earth your body is and should be the temple of God.

A temple is a place of worship, can worship take place in a temple that is already preoccupied and is not prepared for the owner of the temple? Can a temple fulfill its purpose if it is always at the wrong end of the purpose of its creation
Your availability for God is not determined by your ability
Until you are able to yield the temple back to the purpose means of its creation you will keep putting your ability continuously and it will seem like going round the cycle of life.

To make you his temple available to Him doesn't need you to cram the whole of the scripture in order to do it. It just needs the first stage of yielding the temple back to Him

Say for example you viewed a place either for business purpose and on your mind you have a Kay out of the interior decor planned to use for that place, infact you have a very beautiful setting and you could see how this will draw many customers to you and the business. But the key to the place has been kept by the leaseholder and no other key or means to go in until you get that key. Do you know that that place will stay empty and in the state it was in when viewed until an access is given to cause a change.

At these time the ability and potential of the temple will not be visible until the access is given that until the place is made available for the occupier to beautify it and give it the ability it cannot possess by itself.

I do not who it is but you can not depend on your human ability to determine how you will make yourself available to God. Many of us are seeking His face but we are backing His face at thesame time so the effort of seeking His face seem futile because we are not prepared to see His face as we are backing Him.

Availability to God comes from a heart that is prepared for Him it is not down to the heart that depends on their own human ability.
I do not know where or how God is calling you to be available to Him. It could be in your walk with Jesus, your prayer life, your job that you do, your home, your business, your ministry, your calling, your health.

Yes your health at times God wants you to make your health available to Him by allowing what will.promite divine health to actually be what you consume and not the other way round you cannot feed on junk  and expect to be at the highest level of health.

God will grant divine ability when there is available temple. He will allow you to go far and beyond just because you have yielded the temple that makes Him call you His son and daughter through salvation back to Him.

I believe this message is for all of us. Stop trying to match your availability to God by your ability allow Him to dwell in you for divine ability.
My prayer is that in anyway we struggle with being available God will help us to release ourselves.

I pray whatever may have caused us to dibble dabble with the devil where we need God lost today God will cause divine separation in Jesus name.
I pray wherever we have been rather unsure of what to do next and how to do it His spirit will remove confusion and give us clarity in Jesus name.
I pray that in all aspects of our lives that God is standing knocking to come in, be it in our career, academic, health, family, marriage, ministry,  finance, spiritual growth whatever it may be grace to release and obey is available now in Jesus name.

PRAYER.
Father lord we thank you for this evening and your word lord we ask that you forgive us in anyway we have made ourselves unavailable knowingly or unknowingly because we depend on our ability. Father we pray that grace to tap and soar in your ability is returned to us now. Lord we decree that our bodies go back to the state of being your vessel forever in Jesus name. Lord thank you for answered prayers in Jesus mighty name.
