Title: It won't Work
Text: Iaiash 54:18
Immortal God we worship you and honour name because you are forever our king we thank you for the privilege to learn from your word. Speak to us and let our hearts be receptive make us doers of your word and let your name be glorified in Jesus name amen.
The Text is from Isaiah 54:17
"No weapon that is formed against you will succeed; And every tongue that rises against you in judgment you will condemn. This [peace, righteousness, security, and triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And this is their vindication from Me,” says the Lord."
Isaiah 54:17 AMP
This is a common verse, we probably quote it so often. It is also a powerful verse to know as a believer. In this scripture, the prophet Isaiah was speaking to the children of God, the enemy had waged war against them. But even in the state of fear and uncertainty. The word of God came as comfort to them.
I want us to first look at the meaning of the word weapon, it is anything that is used to cause harm, anything can be used as a weapon, even things that are not specifically created to be a weapon can be used as weapon in an altercation.
The tongue 😜 can become a weapon, when people speak against your destiny and the plans of God for a person it can be a weapon.
The scripture however said, No weapon formed against you...
So the Lord knows that weapons will be formed, He is aware of the different weapon that the enemy will use against His children. But He said, None of the weapons formed, you must be wondering but why did God allow the weapon to form in the first place?
God is the beginning and the end and nothing happens without His knowledge, some weapons might come in the form of darts of diverse life challenges. It could be spiritual or physical, it can way you down and you begin to wonder but God I am praying, I am living an upright life to the best of my knowledge, I am fasting, I keep going to the 🗻 mountain to pray. I have set time aside just to seek your face and not your hand but I feel like I am drowning in these challenges where are you God?
The scripture says
We are pressured in every way [hedged in], but not crushed; perplexed [unsure of finding a way out], but not driven to despair; hunted down and persecuted, but not deserted [to stand alone]; struck down, but never destroyed;
2 Corinthians 4:8-9 AMP
This scripture and the main text is a reminder that even when the challenges become overwhelming it will not work against us.
When the weapon formed is becoming fierce and unbearable it will not work against us. When it feels like you're pressed, crushed persecuted God will never abandon you, you will not be destroyed because the plans of the wicked will not work.
To believe this and function in the reality of it, you do not need a great faith you just need an active faith, no matter the size, it must be an active faith, that sees God has the solution to all the problem.
It is quite important to rest on the word of God. It is important to remind yourself about the word of God. What is the word of God saying to you in that situation. What is the word telling you to do. How does the situation fit into the word of God and how can you get the peace, the clarity, the breakthrough and desires you crave for.
You can get it by walking and working with the word not the challenges.
Once you are able to see how the word of God defines the outcome of the situation you are able to see your victory.
What is now left is you working and walking in that victory even before you carry the victory
Note, the word of God did not say the weapon will not be formed, the word did not say the challenges will not come, but the word says even if they happen it will not see your end, it will not see my end because God is in there for us, He has already gone ahead of us and our victory is sure.
I remember watching a testimony of a young boy, who was shot by police officers as he opened the door of his house to let the police in, as he was going down due to the impact of the bullet, He was singing "no weapon formed against me shall prosper, it won't work" he said at that point he knew that God will see him through and indeed God saw him through because he didn't not die. Praise God!!
This makes me question what we confess in the face of adversity, what do you say when the challenge feels like it will swallow you, what do you do when the voices and rumours of the oppressors and oppositions seem like it will drown you?
Do you succumb by confessing your downfall or you stand in active faith and declare your victory because it won't work. Even if it hits me, it won't penetrate into my body. Even if I don't see the evidence yet God has perfected it all and it will end in praise.
Can you shout No weapon formed against me shall prosper, It won't work in Jesus name
The trick of the enemy is to make you focus on how the thing will crush you rather than how you will arrive at your victory and breakthrough.
When the thoughts try to consume your mind start dancing, start rejoicing, it won't work, God has given me victory. Say this constantly and watch God turn it around for your good because the weapon of the enemy will not work against you in Jesus name.
It won't work. Hallelujah
Let us Pray
Abba I thank you for your word that you have sent to me this day you alone deserve all the praise
Lord forgive me in any way, I have focused more on the oppressions and the opposition of the enemy instead of your finished work of victory
Lord arise and grant me the victory that is overdue in all aspects of my life
I decree the plans of the enemy and the haters of my destiny will not work in Jesus name
I decree my victory is sure, I will not encounter any delay in Jesus name amen
Lord we pray over our nation and nations of the world, the weapon and warfare of the enemy will cease to work henceforth in Jesus name
Lord we ask for mercy over all nations of the world
Father we pray for grace to keep standing on your word and promises for us until we carry our evidence and even after our evidence manifests in Jesus name amen
Thank you abba father for answered prayers in Jesus name amen.
