*1 Samuel 18:1-16*

And David went out wherever Saul sent him, and he prospered and behaved himself wisely; and Saul set him over the men of war. And it was satisfactory both to the people and to Saul's servants. As they were coming home, when David returned from killing the Philistine, the women came out of all the Israelite towns, singing and dancing, to meet King Saul with timbrels, songs of joy, and instruments of music. And the women responded as they laughed and frolicked, saying, Saul has slain his thousands, and David his ten thousands. And Saul was very angry, for the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed to David ten thousands, but to me they have ascribed only thousands. What more can he have but the kingdom? And Saul [jealously] eyed David from that day forward. The next day an evil spirit from God came mightily upon Saul, and he raved [madly] in his house, while David played [the lyre] with his hand, as at other times; and there was a javelin in Saul's hand. And Saul cast the javelin, for he thought, I will pin David to the wall. And David evaded him twice. Saul was afraid of David, because the Lord was with him but had departed from Saul. So Saul removed David from him and made him his commander over a thousand; and he went out and came in before the people. David acted wisely in all his ways and succeeded, and the Lord was with him. When Saul saw how capable and successful David was, he stood in awe of him. But all Israel and Judah loved David, for he went out and came in before them.

In the Bible passage above the story of Saul and David was told

Saul as we know was the king of Israel even while he was still a king another king was anointed and that is in the person of David

From the above scripture we can see that David's victory and the song the women were singing led to Saul being so jealous of David

It was not just a jealousy by mouth but Saul detest David with all the fibre in his being

As recorded in the scripture...

Saul was very angry for the saying displeased him and he said  they have ascribed to David ten thousands but to me they have ascribed only thousands. What more can he have but the kingdom and Saul jealously eyed 🙄👀👁️ David from that day forward.

He did all he could just to kill David.

Saul was eaten up with bitterness.

Read 1 Samuel 19: 1-15

Saul's hatred for David didn't stop even after his son Jonathan pleaded.

He did all he could just to kill David.

Saul was eaten up with bitterness.

Jealousy and hatred were ruling over the life of Saul.

It blinded him from what was important.

He was even filled with a bad Spirit.

Note, the bad spirit enveloped Saul after he had allowed hatred to fill his heart.

The topic says *rule over your kingdom*

A kingdom is a territory ruled over by a kingDo you realise your life is a kingdom and you are a king or queen appointed to rule over it.

Whatever you allow to rule over your life render your royalty useless.

It can easily bring your territory to an abrupt end.

In the case of Saul it was *jealousy*

If you you read further in that book of 1 SamuelYou will see that Saul's. Endless pursue of David led to his untimely death and death  of Jonathan his son.

The Bible says we cannot serve God and mammon

You cannot allow what God frown against to rule over your life and still seek the grace of God

Many have been kept in the dark because they have kept the rulership of their kingdom in the hands of rulers and works of darkness

Whoever you hang around with can also contribute to what rules over your life

If you read the chapter 19 shared you will notice that when Jonathan pleaded with Saul he was calm and vouched not to go after David.

But the hatred had eat him up longer than he can get rid of.

Many people will see others progress and the hatred of others progress will cause them to walk into their own failure

Your life is a kingdom but the question is who is ruling above your lifeLittle things like hating others

Bitterness

Unforgiven 

Will not allow you to carry on with the rulership of your kingdom. 

You are a royal priesthood?

But can a priest function where there is no fruit of the spirit.

Can a priest take the position that belong to them if they fail to stay focused?

Are you still ruling over your kingdom?

Are you allowing hurt to rule?

Are you allowing sickness to rule.

That is another ball game entirely.

Many allow what God had given them dominion over to take dominion over them.

The Bible says He has given us power over all sickness diseases and whatever  it may be that is why when you have any harm targeted against you because the one ruling your kingdom is Christ through you it will by no means hurt you.

Do you know you have authority?

For the word of a king is authority and power, and who can say to him, What are you doing?

Do you even recognise yourself as a king because it's when you do that you can function fully as who you are.

It's not possible for you to function as a king when you have the wrong crowd around you

If you daily have people who are the negative seed inside of you.

People who tell you you can't.

Rid yourself off all pessimist.

Stop being a pessimist as well.

Faith is now you can't be a pessimist and function in faith

Remember what Hebrew 11:1 says

NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

Who is incharge of your territory?

Are you still in charge?

Is the situation around you in charge?

Is the reports you get in charge?

Who are you surrounding yourself with?

What voice echo in your consciousness and subconsciousness?

Is it the voice of the gossips that you entertain?

Is it the evil report?

What exactly?

Many of us pray endlesslessly we ask God one thing or the other bit we act otherwise.

Can people see you and say yes Christ is in charge of this person's life?

Are you the type that gets all fueled up and pumped up on sunday?

By Monday you are deflated because what you are entertaining and allowing inside of you have busted your bubbles.

Do you know a seed cannot grow except it's in the right soil and gets right nutrients and photosynthesis takes place.

If Saul had yielded to Jonathan's advise truly his kingdom won't have ended abruptly.

David on the other hand was in charge of his territory.

He knew who God had called him to be

In fact when he had the chance to hurt or kill Saul he refused to.

Instead he fled

Because He knew his purpose was greater than that.

My prayer is that God will open our mind

We will not be the architect of our demise

We will not allow what we ought to rule over to rule over us.

Whatever it is we are harboring in us contrary to the will of God they will be flushed out henceforth.

All power that wants to keep your territory under wrong rulership is disgraced..

May God give us more understanding as we live according to His will in Jesus name. Amen
