Reading from Luke 8-11
"And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."
Luke 2:8-11 KJV
Glory to God for the grace to witness this year 2015 and as its running to an end i pray it will not bring our existence to an end in Jesus name.
During the cause of the year many things happened some made us so happy and some sad but i want to assure us all that this year we are ending with goodnews and starting 2016 with great joy in Jesus name.
From the theme good tidings, we can deduce different meaning but i will stick to the most simple and easy to relate with. We all know when something is good it means positive. The word tiding itself is another way of saying news. So in conjuction good tidings means positive news or good news. As we celebrate the birth of our saviour Jesus Christ we know the purpose of His birth is for goodnews which mainly is salvation. Through salvation you can attain any height in life Matthew 6:33 says when we seek God and His kingdom all other thing will follow. So the salvation of our soul preceeds any other benefit attached to serving and having a relationship with God.
Looking at the Bible passage above when the angel approached the shepherd they were terified because the presence of the angel of God carried heavy presence of God. When you as a child of God carries the good news of God in you your presence brings about newness everywhere you go. One thing about salvation as we know is a personal race and it should be guarded jealously because the enemy of our soul does not want the good news to go farther than Christ Jesus Himself. Remember the word of God says i will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail.
The enemy of our soul knows so well that as heir to the kingdom of God we have power more than Him but many of us forget completely that we have such power because we are limited by our human way of thinking and seeing. 1 John4:4 says greater is He that is in me than He that is in the world. Who is He that is in you? Except Christ is truly living in you, you are lesser than the world and its powers. I will encourage us to make it a practice to always rededicate our lives to Jesus because unrighteousness continuously keeps a child away from the throne i pray the gates of heaven will not be shut against us here on earth and in Heaven when we finish our earthly race in Jesus name.
The benefits of having the goodnews Himself in us;
We live in joy: though challenges and trials will come but when you have Christ your joy is from above not beneath where it can be trampled upon but from the source of joy Himself.
We decree and its established: with Christ our faith move mountains and our utterances are backed with power in His name, His word and in His blood. So when we decree its instantly done provided its in line with God's will and time.
We are light: John1:5 says when the light shines darkness cannot comprehend it because we have Christ we become the light everywhere we go and we are outstanding among others
There are lots of benefit but the ultimate one is making Heaven which should be our goal as true believer. I pray that this season God will draw us closer to Him in anyways we have gone away from Him and every holds upon us stoping our relationship with God will be broken in Jesus name.

Father thank you for the grace to wait on you today in Jesus name
Lord thank you for the opportunity to be called your child in Jesus name
Lord thank you for the salvation of my soul today i rededicate my soul to you in Jesus name
Lord i release myself to you dwell in me the more in Jesus name
I decree henceforth i am a bearer of goodnews in all aspects of my life in Jesus name
Father through my life let souls be won to your kingdom in Jesus name
Lord Jesus as this year is coming to an end give me a resounding good news in Jesus name
Father in the years to come let my stories and my life change entirely to good news in Jesus name
I come against every bad news planned for me by any one or power in the physical or spiritual realm in Jesus name
Thank you Jesus for answered prayers in Jesus name
