Topic: Spiritual Blessings

Text: Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:  Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:  According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:  Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,  To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;  Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;  Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:  That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:  In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:  That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.  In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,  Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints, Ephesians 1:1‭-‬15 KJV

Lord thank youfor this evening. Thank you for another opportunity to study and discuss your word. I pray you enlighten us all in Jesus name

I pray that whatever is doscuss will point to you and not flesh in Jesus name

Thank you Lord for answered prayers in Jesus name

Today's Topic for discussion is *Spiritual Blessing*

When something is said to be spiritual it's not a human based thing but divine. It means something from God so it is not human controlled.

And Blessing is means something good being spoken well of.

We know the opposite of blessing is curse.. No one wants to be cursed. So when we hear *Spiritual blessings* Is basically pointing to things that are divinely spoken well of that belongs to us which is given by God.

From the Scripture above.. Ephesians 1:1-15

Here we have Apistle Paul talking to the saints (believers) at Ephesus and Faithful in Christ Jesus *(that is every other believer this includes you and I)*

In verse 4 after blessing the people in his greetings he acknowledge God and here he mentioned that God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ has blessed us with all *Spiritual Blessings* in heavenly places in Christ.

This denotes that this Blessings are and can only be received if you are in *Christ* Although it is readily made available to us even before we gave our lives to Jesus and we can see that as we proceed in the verse. But it can only be beneficial to us if we are in Christ

The first type of *Spiritual Blessing* mentioned was the blesiing of the *Chosen Saint* _"accoirding as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world we should be holy and without blame before him in love_"

Here we can see that God has Chosen us as Saint even before the formation of the earth. That is we were chosen to be saint even before Adam commited the sin in Garden of Eden.. God already chose us to be saint before sin came to being... But as I mentioned earlier this can only be benefited from *If you are in Christ* So although you are Chosen saint until you come to the knowledge of that throigh Christ you will dwell in Live and die in Sin..

Another *Spiritual Blessing* high lighted in this scripture is *Predestined adoption*
_ Having *Predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ* to himslef according to the good pleasure of his will.
So we are already adopted children of God a cross reference to this is in *John 1:12 but to all who did receive him, who believed in his name he gave the right to become children of God* so to benefit of this also you still need to be in Christ

Reading further we can see another *Spiritual Blessing* which is *Accepted Beloved* _to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. That is no matter how bad we may be or have been when we are in Christ we have no condemnation because Jesus has accepted us just as 2Corithians 5:17. He accepted us and made us new creatures because we have accepted Him into our lives *redemption through the blood of Jesus* _In whom we have redemption through his blood_ So we were redeemed by His blood and as we know without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sin Hebrews 9:22

*Forgiveness of sins* is another spiritual blessings we get. _The forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace_
so we are saved by grace, our sins are forgiven by grace,
We are saints by grace
We serve by his grace

Another wonderful *Spiritual blessing* is *Having a knowledge of the the mystery of His will* _Having made known unto us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure which he hath *purposed* in Himself_

Hallelujah...
This is wonderful we are blessed to know the will of God. So we have a knowledge of what he expects from us..
We are accustomed to His will through His word.. So we no longer live against His will but according to His will..

Another wonderful *Spiritual Blessing* is *Abounding wisdom and Prudence* Hallelujah not only are we just wise the wisdom is in full existence in us and our judgement(prudence) is directed by godly wisdom because we are in Christ.

This verse is just loaded with God's *Spiritual Blessings* for His children and another one from the numerous list is *Inheritance through Jesus Christ* _In whom also we have obtained an inheritance being predestined according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will_ God is wonderful, we are not just saved but we have an Inheritance. As we might be clear of what inheritance is; it's our right, what belongs to us so whatever Christ lay claim to belongs to us because we are in Him and He is in us.*Being Sealed with that Holy Spirit* is another *Spiritual Benefit* that we enjoy being in Christ. We all understand that the Holy Spirit is the Third Person of Trinity. And the Holy spirit is the one present in the world now *John 16:7* so we benefit this awesome pressence and indwelling of the Holy spirit because we are in Christ.

All these wonderful *Spiritual blessings* are only available for
Those who are truly in Christ Jesus.
Those who are dedicated to live for Him.
Those who are trady to kick *Lukewarmness* out and do away with double standard christian living.

Those who are not carried away by this word that know that the greater one lives in them. As mentioned earlier in the scripture we are studying *The Faithful in Christ Jesus*. These are the only ones who can fully benefit from these *spiritual blessings* Habitual sin and non compliant with the word and ways of God can make one lose out in these benefit.

My prayer is none of us will lose out in these benefits, I pray that in anyway we are still struggling to stand in faith and be a true heir to the throne God will help us and we will overcome in Jesus name.

There is a lot we can do with Spiritual Blessings available to us but we just need to understand that it is there for us
*If we are in Christ*

May the good Lord enlighten us all in Jesus name.
May He forever lead us in all that we do in Jesus name.
May we not depend on ourselves but the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.
Thank you Lord for this study we return all the glory to you alone in Jesus name Amen🙏🏽
