As a single parent, please note many will not accept you.

Some do it because of unconscious bias. While others do it due to conscious bias.

It's okay. 

The closest people to you, or not close to you,  might make you feel like a piece of sh** but that should not define how you see yourself or your children.

Some will guilt trip you based on what they know about your story. This is why you have to discern who you tell your story.

Some will be close to you so they can become a collective information officer, they gather your information and they use it against you.

Having said that some will accept you, you will wonder why the show of love, it's not because they want anything from you, it's because they genuinely care.

 *The most important acceptance is your personal acceptance. SELF LOVE*😍 

Have you accepted your current state now, have you looked past the mistakes, the delays, the no and the judgement?

Once you begin to accept that this is just a phase in your life, that's when you thrive.

You can blame yourself all the way for getting pregnant, once, twice or multiple times to have that child or those children you nurture now, but that will not help you in any way.

Learn to accept yourself, accept that child or children. Some will take out the mistakes of the other parent and their mistakes out of the child don't be that kind of person.

Love yourself and love your child or children. Always remember God accepted you even before the situation happened and He is still close to you after it.

Single parenting is not a disease, it's not a lifetime sentence, it's a time for growth, identifying your worth, potentials and accepting who God has made you to be.
