I WILL extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever [with grateful, affectionate praise]. Great is the Lord and highly to be praised; and His greatness is [so vast and deep as to be] unsearchable. One generation shall laud Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts. Prayer:

Almighty father I thank you for giving me the grace to witness this day all glory to you in Jesus mighty name amen.

This day think deep on the things God had done, is doing and will do and worship Him.

Heavenly father I thank you for counting me, my family, children, spouse, church, friends and colleagues worthy amongst the living today all glory belongs to you.

Singlehood is not a waste of time.

Single Brother or Sister it's like you are the only one left in your family, friends,  colleagues and community that is still single. Day by day you are growing from worrying to depression to deep sadness. You wish the hand of time could be turned back. You ask yourself what have you done wrong, when did you miss it. Even your ex-lover(s) are married, becoming parents and playing or being happy. You are contemplating if you should go back into the world, maybe being a believer is not good. You are not written off.

If you were to question God further you might not get an answer but if you live your life trusting God, you will glow from inside out in fact that might just be your break through code.

Stop living in self accusation, even if you were the cause of your singleness God can change it.  You can only change from accusing yourself and appreciating God for what He will do.

Start getting ready physically, materially,  spiritually and finicially for the task ahead of you. Stop depression of singleness  maximise this period doing things that will glorify God. Things you will have less, more or no time to do when you finally tie the knot.

You don't know why you just had to say to the sister or brother(your ex) that its not working out or its not gonna work out even though you wanted him or her so bad but you had to let him/her go. God was not interested in allowing you make the mistake of your life.
Proverbs 20:24 KJV "Man's goings are of the Lord ; how can a man then understand his own way?"

If God shows you the reason why He had allowed you to be single till now you will be thankful. Many rushed into marriage against God's will just to satisfy themselves and they are wishing deep down inside that they had waited for God's will. 

Do you just want to be a family person or married and within  one year you are filling for divorce. Alas! You  are back to square one even worse than were you began.

As you wait don't waste away, you want a man or woman who is the will of God. Are you preparing to be someone's will of God as well or you just want the other party to be all you want and you become a pain in their life when you eventually tie the knot.

Brother you desire a sister with the fear of God when last did you pray for your wife to be, do you fear God? You want a cultured lady, respectful , neat, educated are you cultured, respectful, neat and educated? Samething applies to you sister.

Genesis 24:12-14 AMP "And he said, O Lord, God of my master Abraham, I pray You, cause me to meet with good success today, and show kindness to my master Abraham. See, I stand here by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming to draw water. And let it so be that the girl to whom I say, I pray you, let down your jar that I may drink, and she replies, Drink, and I will give your camels drink also--let her be the one whom You have selected and appointed and indicated for Your servant Isaac [to be a wife to him]; and by it I shall know that You have shown kindness and faithfulness to my master." When God is in it you will choose right.

Sister you desire a man spirit filled, good looking, Heaven conscious and so on do you pass this criteria or you fail them? YOU WILL FIT ALL THE CRITERIA OF YOUR OWN HUSBAND AND HE WILL FIT YOURS IF IT'S THE WILL OF GOD.

Don't go into sin because you are single.
1 Corinthians 7:2 AMP "But because of the temptation to impurity and to avoid immorality, let each [man] have his own wife and let each [woman] have her own husband."

Singlehood is time of preparation not a wasting time. Marriage is not something you just go in for a month and say its over. Its a covenant,  which includes God and that is why you must involve God in it before you even go into courtship.

Prayerfully wait on the Lord Sisters and Brothers look for that missing bone prayerfully. Faith without works is dead, so while you wait and seek, put your faith to work.

Even though it seems like age is not on your side, God has a plan for you and your bone. You can not  lack your mate so don't engage in this saying"there is no wife or husband out there they are players and loosers" be positive.
Isaiah 34:16 AMP "Seek out of the book of the Lord and read: not one of these [details of prophecy] shall fail, none shall want and lack her mate [in fulfillment]. For the mouth [of the Lord] has commanded, and His Spirit has gathered them."

No one wants a depressed Brother or Sister..

A depressed single leads to an endured spouse in marriage.

It's not an easy journey but with God in it you will testify soon in Jesus name amen.

Goal and achievement.

Goal is Aim....
The aim of doing a task to achieve a certain result.
All human has goals either it be negative or positive... There's always an intention to life and to live, you have it as well as I do.
Physically speaking,a goal without purpose is useless, there must be a purpose to your aim in life. Without will and self determination your goal is as well as useless.
There must be a drive to achieve an aim.
As a marketer you need a set goal for a particular session.
As a banker you also need to meet up with budget.
I can go on with examples.... But I know y'all get the picture.

Luke 8:43-48 KJV
"And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace".

Here we see a woman displaying her faith and her plan of achieving a goal.
Despite the crowd(disturbance all around),she could have easily been trampled on when she was scampering to reach out.But she kept on moving because she had a plan to reach a GOAL.
She achieved her goal by touching the hem of the garment of Master Jesus and the rest is history!!!!

We as Christians must apply this principle of achieving our GOAL in our every day Life.
Waking up in the morning....
Set a GOAL...
In the midday, remind yourself of what you wanted to achieve by daybreak.

DIFFERENT KIND OF GOALS

Physical Goals
These are the goals that are related to your physical well being and health. If you need to loose weight, or improve your physical condition and health in some way, you will need to set these goals.

Career Goals
Where do you want to be in your career five years from now, ten years from! In what position you see yourself and what you will do to reach there, what kind of value addition you will do to your skills, both hard and soft, will fall under career goals.

Financial Goals
When are you planning your retirement, what kind of house you want to live in, what kind of car you want to drive, where you want to go for vacation, what kind of education do you want to afford for your children? Answer to all these will depend on you financial planning, and achievement of your financial Goal Setting.

Relationships and  Family Goals
Relationships and your family are one of the biggest assets that you may have. How will you improve your old friendships, and make new ones? What will you do for your spouse, children, parents, greater family, so as to take these relationships to a greater depth? It is worth it to set goals in this area to have a fulfilled life.

Self Development and Spiritual Goals
A person is like a fruit. As long as you are green you are growing. If you stop growing you ripen and fall to ground. One of the greatest blessings of human life is the lifelong ability to learn. So, keep learning, keep growing internally. Set goals for improving your attitude, self image, faith etc. People those who are spiritually higher enjoy better self image, better relationships, and more financial success as they have stronger faith. Spiritual upliftment is an important purpose of all human life and one should set goals in this area of self development.

Pleasure Goals
As the children of God it is your right to enjoy and have pleasure. Set goals for your enjoyment and how you are going to spend time for yourself. Goals may be set for entertainment, learning new art or for taking up new hobbies.

Social Goals
More often your success will be measured by what you do for the society rather than your personal achievements. As a human being it is your responsibility to give back to society more than what you receive from it. Any goals that you set for this purpose are Social Goals.

SPRITUAL GOAL.....
This is the ultimate of all goals as a Christian. Keeping our lives in check with the MANUAL OF LIVING(BIBLE), Allowing Jesus pilot our plans for the future, Acknowledging you have no power of your own whatsoever.....

MAY GOD GIVE US THE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING TO ACHIEVE AN OUTSTANDING GOAL IN LIFE.

As a Christian,you should ask of the Lord whatsoever plan you have strategised!!!So I believe one has to mark out a plan to achieve the unimaginable...

Also though I pray as we make plans and set goals and have dreams and desires etc. We will make sure it is of GOD. So many times we ask God to come along side us and our plans when we are the ones who need to seek and know what His plans are for us and for us to come alongside His amazing plans and purpose. Otherwise sometimes  things are in vain because we wont  do what He has called us to and so on.(sis Lindsay)

Mentoring

Choosing a mentor one needs to understand what mentoring is..
The word means Men touring, it means someone you can look up to as he walks you through your journey in life to that destination God wants you to be. You are allowed to have as many mentoring as possible based on the different aspect of life, spiritual, finance, fashion or life style, education, career wise, marriage or relationship,  family and so on. A mentor is someone who motivates you into acting out your God given purpose in life. Its not necessarily you meet your mentor one on one but you learn from his or her lifestyle. A mentor could be a role model, someone you admire the qualities and virtues in him.
Your mentor is someone that influences you, he/she will always lift up your spirit through words of encouragement. You don't have to imitate your mentor in what he does as many people make that mistake, your mentor must help you discover who you really are...

Choosing a mentor is based on your spiritual desire and not earthly quests. Study 1st and 2nd Timothy,  it will help you make a right choice of a mentor, Brother Paul was a mentor to the timid and shy Timothy. The first thing you want look at is, is your mentor a Christian? If yes that sets the pace for you, secondly is he or she career oriented, is he educated cause as you are educated and seeking for yourself to advance along the path of your chosen career, your mentor must be in the right position to help you shape those areas of your life. You also want to know if he or she can manage people, you don't want to entrust your spirit into the wrong hand, someone who doesn't have the attitude to relate with people. Your mentor must standout in the crowd, what makes him or her different from others, you must know his life stories,  how he or she has been able to make it through in life, remember he is leading you. You don't want somebody who is not financially stable to teach you prosperity.

Lastly, your mentor must be connected to your dream. Your mentor has a role to play in your dream and if your dream is from God, God will connect you to your mentor. In my case for example,  when I first moved to the united states, the first time I met my pastor, God spoke to my heart and said God told me He is connecting me to him, through him (my pastor) I will fulfill my dream. And truly when I started attending the church (RCCG jesus palace) I never knew he is the son-in-law of Daddy and mommy G.O and through him He connected me to other Pastors that contribute to my vision and dream. Your mentor must share your dream, so find someone who share your dream, someone who believes in you. May God help us all to choose the right mentors in Jesus name amen.

Jesus is our ultimate mentor because he is the express image of God and we should strive to have that mind of Christ. Nevertheless in this earthly journey which we are sojourners we need people that are more insightful and knowledgeable in the will of God to guide us not to go astray. We need people with better understanding and revelation of the will of God. That's why we have our pastors as spiritual fathers and also spiritual mothers...they mentor you. That's you can get to a christian bookshop and you want to pick a book by Bishop Oyedepo because you need insight on prosperity or a book by Dr Olukoya because you need insight on spiritual warfare or a book by kenneth hagin just because you need insight on holiness...these are people that serves as mentors and also as role models. But role models come in place especially if you have a gift and calling from God. You need a role model to help you put that in use.
