Proverbs 4:7-8 KJV
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
No one in their right mind will gather before the table of a fool to seek wisdom. It's like trying to get fresh wood out of burnt wood you can only get charcoal. God knows we need wisdom to live a life that is directed by Him. The wisdom in this case is godly wisdom not wordly wisdom. Wordly wisdom seek after mundane things and its principal of foolishness, godly wisdom seek after eternal things and it supercedes worldly wisdom. When we handle things with godly wisdom it might sound stupid to ordinary man but a man of faith will reckon with us. Godly wisdom brings those who possess it to place of honour. It makes room for them in high places because the source can never run dry, the source is God Almighty. This day friend let us seek wisdom that is of eternal value.
