A word for you!
1 Samuel 30:6 AMP
David was greatly distressed, for the men spoke of stoning him because the souls of them all were bitterly grieved, each man for his sons and daughters. But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God.
This scripture above shows us how a leader encouraged himself in the Lord when things were about to go totally wrong. King David was distressed because the children and women of Isreal were held captive even his own wives and kids. At times in life we find ourself in awkward situations we have no support from the people around us and we might or may not be in position of authority. Towards the end of that verse it says "But David encouraged and strengthened himself in the Lord his God. " You can only do such thing if you have CONFIDENCE in GOD. After this verse king David was able to overcome their adversaries and recover all that has been taken from them.
Giving up or giving in to trials that God is able to take you out victoriously is not a wise move. A time will come when you might get no support from everyone around you but God Almighty. Today I want us to have the attitude of one with God is greater and mightier than one with millions of men. That situation too shall pass but make sure you don't pass with it.
Strengthen and Encourage yourself in God.
