Be Inspired End of the month prayer and fasting April 2025

Topic: The Kingdom of God in Me
Text: 1 John 4:4, Luke 19:12

1 John 4:4 NKJV
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.

Luke 19:12 NKJV
Therefore He said: “A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and to return.”

Glory to the King of kings for the privilege to witness the end of another beautiful month! Lord, thank You for another opportunity to wait on You through prayer and fasting, and to share Your word. You alone deserve the praise, have Your way, speak to us, and let Your name be glorified in Jesus’ name.

Our topic today is "The Kingdom of God in Me." To understand this better, let’s begin by defining what a kingdom is. According to the dictionary, a kingdom is a territory or realm ruled by a king or queen.

So, when we talk about the Kingdom of God, we are talking about the territory that is ruled by the Most High, the Almighty King. When we say "the Kingdom of God in me," it means that God rules in me. I am His territory. He reigns over and within me.

1 John 4:4 tells us that we are of God and have overcome the world because “greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” This shows that if God truly rules in you, His power in you is greater than any influence from the world. His dominion in your life means you are not subject to the dictates of the world, you've overcome the chaos, fear, sin, and darkness because God's presence gives you the victory.

For someone to say they carry the Kingdom of God within, they must know who the King is, who is ruling over their heart and life. A kingdom cannot exist without a ruler. So, you cannot claim to have God's kingdom in you if Jesus isn’t the one reigning in your life.

In Luke 19:12, Jesus tells a parable of a nobleman who goes to receive a kingdom and then return. When you read further, you see that he entrusted things to his servants, and only those who believed in him used what he gave them wisely.

This shows us that having the Kingdom of God in you means you can’t be idle. You must work with what God has placed in you to advance His kingdom. That means living according to His word and purpose. The kingdom is not for spectators, it is for those who are fully yielded to His will.

You cannot claim to carry the Kingdom of God if you don’t have God in you, and you cannot have God in you without His Word. His Word is Him.

John 1:1 NKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Ecclesiastes 8:4 NKJV
Where the word of a king is, there is power; And who may say to him, “What are you doing?”

Evidence of God’s kingdom within is not about empty declarations or being lukewarm; it is shown in consistent living according to His Word and bearing the fruit of the Spirit.

Galatians 5:22–25 NKJV
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control... If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Walking in the Spirit means dying to self, crucifying the flesh and its desires. You can't have God ruling over your life while still being entangled with the ways of the world. Your mindset and perspective must be driven by God.

When you carry the Kingdom of God inside, you don’t treat life casually. You realize that how you live here affects your eternity. If Jesus isn’t your Lord and center of your life,  you're missing the entire point of life.

Having the Kingdom of God within doesn’t exempt you from trials, but it gives you confidence in victory before battles even arise. Your ultimate goal is no longer personal success but that God is glorified through your life.

The Kingdom of God within you will reflect in your thoughts, your speech, your actions, your relationships, and even in how you see the world. You don’t live faithlessly because the One in you is greater.

When God rules within you, you pursue Him intentionally, not for fame or favor, but because you understand your entire life depends on Him.

A person who truly carries the Kingdom of God knows that everything in this world is temporary. No matter your status, your soul must be preserved to reign with God eternally.

Having the Kingdom in you doesn’t mean you should live in miserable conditions that make others doubt God in your life. Rather, your life, regardless of your circumstances, should reflect that God is truly at work in you.

If you understand the value of God's kingdom in you, you won’t take your relationship with Him lightly. If that relationship is weak, it becomes easier for the enemy to gain access. That’s why maintaining closeness with God must be a top priority, through His Word, prayer, worship, being filled with the Holy Spirit, and staying aware of your alignment with Him.

Psalm 1:1–2 NKJV
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly... But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night.

The Kingdom of God in you is not defined by your church denomination. It’s about your personal relationship and encounter with God. Of course, your place of worship can nurture and strengthen that, but it all begins with your personal walk with God.

These are the last days. Now is not the time to be flirting with the kingdom of this world. Now is the time to examine yourself and allow God’s Kingdom to rule within. This isn't just about collective effort, this is personal, and it's only possible through the help of the Holy Spirit.

So, as you live, let your focus be more than achievements. Focus on what God wants you to do. Your time on earth is short compared to eternity, so how are you living now? Let God’s Kingdom take dominion in your life.

Let Us Pray:

Lord, thank You for the word You’ve sent to me, You deserve all the praise.

Abba, thank You for counting me worthy to be a dwelling place for You.

Lord, I invite You to take full dominion over every part of my life from this moment forward, in Jesus’ name.

Remove anything in me that may hinder Your Kingdom from taking full shape and control in my life

Open my eyes to see anything I’m doing that’s affecting Your reign in and through me.

Help me surrender the areas where I struggle, and let the fruit of the Spirit take over.

Lord, I want to live for You and reign with You eternally. Guide me, lead me, and have Your way.

Please don’t let me miss heaven, Lord, in Jesus’ name.

Personal Prayer

Thank You, Ancient of Days, for answered prayers in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Congratulations 🎉
