Be Inspired End of The Month Fasting and Prayer
April 28th Tuesday - 30th Thursday
Theme: Jehovah Nissi
Text: Exodus 17:1-15

The theme of this month's fasting and prayer is one of the numerous names of God. Jehovah Nissi( God our Banner).  Reading from the beginning of the text we will see that the israelites were contemplating on stoning Moses whom they once hailed because they needed water. God has He will always want to make the unpleasant situation a pleasant testimony gave them water from the rock just by simple obedience (Exodus17:7) Moses called the name of the place where they got water from the rock; Massah and Meribah meaning is the Lord among us or not?

This must seem like a doubtful name or a slap on the face of the isrealites who tempted God because they lack water. We all know the importance of water. Bringing the situation the Israelites to this day we live now we all get to a point in life where we are so filled with doubt and whilst we are about to do things against the will of God He shows forth. He brings water out of the rock of impossibility.

Forward to the victory over Amalekites, although its not specifically stated how long after the miracle of water out of the rock was the war against the Amalekites but we could see that the coordination of the Israelites was more of those with increased faith. When Moses instructed Joshua (Exodus 17:9-10) following the leading of God no one rebelled instead they did as Moses said.  From life's experence it's so common that after a testimony another trail awaits a believer. Imagine people who just got water now going for a war.

As we know that God is the Alpha and Omega, He is aware of what they will encounter every second of their lives and that applies to you and I. As He promised in Exodus 17: 5-6, God is always ahead of us in all battles. The battles you face today might not be of lack of water or physical war against Amalekites like the Israelites but God is still above and ahead of it. His glory is shining on your path but you must believe the battle you face now isn't your jurisdiction at all it all belongs to God.

The battle the Israelite won was as a result of obedience and believe in the set Man of God. This day we are so lucky because we have the Holy spirit there as our confidant, God wouldn't allow us to suffer loss unnecessarily, He wouldn't hide from us infact He reveals the secret things to us becuse His plan is that we remain victors and not victim.

Our worship to God is a testimony of our faith in Him. Many are times we face battles which can come as illness, some will transit to glory via this means it doesn't mean they lost the battle at all infact little are the battle we face on earth the greatest victory any believer can have is making Heaven. Yes! I pray we will all fulfill destiny and purpose of our creation before we meet our creator in Jesus name

I don't know what is it that you long to see Jehovah Nissi  at work in. First accept that without Him you can't do anything and then cast all your cares to Him. As Moses's hand with the rod was lifted up it showed that the faith of the Israelites was in God alone, their hope, trust and all they live for was in God. Same thing applies to you and I. Don't try to become a super victim on your way to victory release all to God do what you have to do and let Him crown your effort with victory.

Prayer
Lord i thank you for the grace to witness the first quarter of 2015 and its end in Jesus name

Father forgive me in anyway i have wronged or tempted you as the Israelites did in Jesus name

My father gather and put to shame every Amalekites circumstances in my life in Jesus name

Lord i lift my eyes up to you help me( mention the issue) give me victory without you i can't do anything in Jesus name

My father let me encounter your victorious hand over every battles of my life henceforth in Jesus name

Lord thank you for all Be Inspired members and their family this year 2015 let us become victors even where our generations have being victims in Jesus name

Thank you Jesus for answered prayers in Jesus name
