Voice is the sound produced in a person's larynx and uttered through the mouth
So if your larynx is disfunctioning there is probability that your mouth will only be moving with no sound or the sound is not understandable
Let us look into the scripture
And the Lord called Samuel again the third time. So he arose and went to Eli, and said, “Here I am, for you did call me.” Then Eli perceived that the Lord had called the boy.
I Samuel 3:8 NKJV
In 1 Samuel 3:8 we see young Samuel resting and suddenly he head his name
He ran to Eli to say here I am but Eli said to him I didn't call you
He heard again and went to Eli
Eli said I didn't call you
Then Eli said it must be the Lord that is calling you
Next time you hear the voice calling your name
So Eli said to Samuel, “Go, lie down, and it shall be that if He calls you, you shall say, ‘Speak, Lord , for Your servant is listening.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place. Then the Lord came and stood and called as at the previous times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant is listening.”
1 Samuel 3:9-10 AMP
As we can see in the following verse when Samuel got the right inclination as to who's Voice he was hearing he was able to answer rightly
Voice is powerful but the authority a voice carry depends on the one that owns the voice.
Samuel was hearing the voice of God but he kept running to Eli
Do you wonder why
Samuel was used to Eli calling him
But guess what Samuel couldn't tell if it was God or Eli
Do you know why it can be difficult to respond to a voice you are not familiar with.
There are times that God will speak to you and I using the voice we are familiar with
Does it mean it's that person you are familiar with their voice that is talking
Not exactly
At times God will speak to us uniquely with a distinct voice
But like Samuel if we are unsure or not clear we can be running to the wrong direction
It took the right leading of Eli for Samuel to know that God was the one calling him
My question is
If God was to speak to you and I today would we be able to identify right that this is God
Many are times where believers have replaced the voice of God with voice of the man of God
I am not here to criticise
Downsize or ridicule anyone
But until you learn exactly that God is the one speaking to you
You will keep running to the wrong source just like Samuel was doing.
So who's Voice are you listening to
Who's Voice can you hear
Is God's voice audible to you
Many of us have so much busy-ness going on that even when God speaks to us we are unsure because it's all mixed up
God speaks to us in divers ways
Through His word
Through His ministers
Direct encounter
But you must have a relationship with Him for you to understand or recognise which means He is using to speak to you
Ask yourself
*Who's Voice* am I hearing
*Who's Voice* am I following
Now God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them. Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?” Then the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. This became known both to all Jews and Greeks dwelling in Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
Acts 19:11-17 NKJV
God was doing extraordinary and unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or face-towels or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out [of them]. Then some of the traveling Jewish exorcists also attempted to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “I implore you and solemnly command you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches!” Seven sons of one [named] Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. But the evil spirit retorted, “I know and recognize and acknowledge Jesus, and I know about Paul, but as for you, who are you?” Then the man, in whom was the evil spirit, leaped on them and subdued all of them and overpowered them, so that they ran out of that house [in terror, stripped] naked and wounded. This became known to all who lived in Ephesus, both Jews and Greeks. And fear fell upon them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified and exalted.
Acts 19:11-17 AMP
In Acts 19:11-17... We see some Jewish excorcist they were travelling and they saw a man posseed with demons
They decided to use the name of Jesus
But if you read the scripture
They said
*I implore you and solemnly command you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches*
This people had no relationship with Jesus
They have heard about what Apostle Paul was doing with the name of Jesus
Even his handkerchief was performing wonders
So they decided to try it
Guess what the demon said
*Jesus I know and recognize, Paul I know but as for you who are you?*
Why do you think this happened
This people tried the name of the one they had nothing in common with
Do you know as a child of God when you identify with Christ and recognise your identity in Christ
Demons will recognize you as untouchable
Just as they do to Jesus and Paul
But you cannot stay far off and say you know what that type of ability is meant for pastors
Many of us are the one who allow what we ought to trample under our feet to ride upon us like horses
Until Samuel recognised the voice of God he was still subjected to the direction and leading of Eli
Did Samuel leave Eli straight away
No he didn't but guess what he was able to communicate and have a response directly with God.
If you do not identify with Christ and still await some miracle I want to encourage you to drop that deceitful type of relationship
Many wonder why they pray and nothing happen
The word of God said at the mention of the name of Jesus
Every knee must bow and every tongue must confess that Jesus Christ is lord both in heaven and on earth
Guess what you cannot exercise what you do not have faith and confidence in
The moment your spirit is one with Christ through salvation.
You might have been casting demons out without a true impact but when that change happens demons will hear your voice and they will tremble
Do you know why
Your voice has changed.
There are many gadget this days that you can use voice to operate them
Some you will need to actually register your voice for recognition
Before it finish the registration
You will probably have several trials before it registers your voice
If anyone try to use their voice
To operate your device aside you
The device will not give the person access.
That was what happened to those Jewish travellers
They wanted to use the name of Jesus
Yet they had no relationship with Him
Do you think that the voice that the demon recognized in Paul was just Paul's voice
No That was a supernatural voice that had joined with the voice and name of Jesus Christ
You are not limited from operating in that level
But have you got any recognition of the voice that swallows every unwanted voices
Have you made your life a subject to the one who gives life without needing any man's permission
Have you turned over your all just like Paul did so that through you greater works can be done
At times many even know Jesus but fear has turned their voice into a stammer
The fear has subdued their voice
They have a dream and they start trembling instead of getting up and saying boldly in the name of Jesus I reverse this it's not my portion
Have you made your life a subject to the one who gives life without needing any man's permission
Have you turned over your all just like Paul did so that through you greater works can be done
At times many even know Jesus but fear has turned their voice into a stammer
The fear has subdued their voice
They have a dream and they start trembling instead of getting up and saying boldly in the name of Jesus I reverse this it's not my portion
I pray that the spirit of God will deliver as many subjected to fear of unknown that has been limiting them in Jesus name
I decree henceforth your name and my name henceforth receive and operates in the authority of Christ henceforth
I pray that the boldness to use the voice that Jesus has given to us by faith to command and move mountain begin to come into activation henceforth
For that person who is daily tormented by voice in your head today as you have faith and decree in Jesus name may that unworthy voice be swallowed up in Jesus name
I decree for that person who has had negative voice speaking negativity into their life an end comes to them today
You that have been so much eaten up with the voice of your past today in Jesus name that past voice cease to control your present or future in Jesus name
You that you keep getting same voice and response that is unpleasant over your job, work, marriage, health, career, children, spouse, ministry that speaks against the will of God an end comes to it in Jesus name.
For you who is unsure of you qualify for this privilege because you do not identify with Jesus, today may the lord take control over your life as you surrender your life to Him and accept Him as your lord and saviour in Jesus name
