This chapter is titled, Parable of the boiling pot. The word of God came to Ezekiel in the ninth year of Jehoachin's captivity by Nebuchadnezzar. The Lord spoke about the siege laid by King of Babylon against Jerusalem. Then God directed Ezekiel to share the parable of the pot 🍯.
Ezekiel 24:3-14 AMP
[3] Speak a parable against the rebellious house [of Judah] and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “Put on a pot; put it on and also pour water into it; [4] Put in it the pieces [of meat], Every good piece (the people of Jerusalem), the thigh and the shoulder; Fill it with choice bones. [5] “Take the choicest of the flock, And also pile wood under the pot. Make it boil vigorously And boil its bones in the pot.” [6] ¶‘Therefore, thus says the Lord God, “Woe (judgment is coming) to the bloody city, To the pot in which there is rust And whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece by piece, Without making any choice. [7] “For her blood [that she has shed] remains in her midst; She put it on the bare rock; She did not pour it on the ground To cover it with dust. [8] “That it may cause wrath to come up to take vengeance, I have put her blood [guilt for her children sacrificed to Molech] on the bare rock, That it may not be covered.” [9] ‘Therefore, thus says the Lord God, “Woe to the bloody city! I will also make the pile [of wood] high. [10] “Heap on wood, kindle the fire, Boil the meat well [done] And mix in the spices, And let the bones be burned. [11] “Then set the empty pot (Jerusalem) back on the coals So that it may be hot And its bronze may glow And its filthiness may be melted And its rust (scum) may be consumed. [12] “She has wearied Me with toil, Yet her great rust has not left her; Her thick rust and filth will not be burned away by fire [no matter how hot the flame]. [13] “In your filthiness are lewdness and outrage. Therefore I would have cleansed you, Yet you were not [willing to be] cleansed, You will not be cleansed from your filthiness again Until I have satisfied My wrath against you. [14] I the Lord have spoken; it is coming and I will act. I will not relent, and I will not have compassion and I will not be sorry; in accordance with your ways and in accordance with your deeds I will judge and punish you,” says the Lord God.’ ”

The parable was used to describe how the house of Israel and Jerusalem had lived in rebellion against the will and precepts of God. How they have accommodated and continually opened themselves up to singul act. To summarise the end of the parable describes how the Lord's wrath will come upon them due to their known sin. This is worth reflecting on if likened to the current times, a lot is going on around the world and it constantly shows how humanity or humans are rather moving away from God and defying every will of God for their human satisfaction and desires. It's not that there are no true prophet at this time, the truth is many have blocked hears, many are no longer seeing the consequences so long their cravings and satisfaction for flesh and this earth 🌎 is fulfilled but this will lead to destruction. This carries huge consequences especially for those who do not repent or those who live in disguise of believing God but in the closet far worse than eyes can see but nothing is hidden from God.
Ezekiel 24:15-18, God informed Ezekiel of the imminent death of his wife, He didn't just warn him, He gave him specific instructions not to mourn in public, he should just sigh and indeed Ezekiel spoke to people in the morning and later on thesame day his wife died and he followed what God told him not to mourn in public. This here is a deep test of faith and commitment to God, it's not something you can easily comprehend with normal human mind. Some might say God is wicked but He is not, He didn't make it a surprise, he prepared him. Plus at the end, no one is going to live forever. But walking with God at times might cost you losing things, people and still being thankful while others might be devastated as a consequence of their loss.
From verse 19, Ezekiel continued to deliver the heart of God to the people. He told them the weather ahead, the plans of God and he didn't mince his word or water down the word. He said what God sent him. Sometimes when we hear some instructions from God, as human nature we might see or perceived the messenger as wicked or harsh because a lot of people have grown with water down scripture to only fit a set scenario and situations. So when they hear it as God directs some ministers it sounds ridiculously harsh and inhumane, but one thing I have come to realise in life is God will chastise those He love and He will tell you straight when you err but if you continue to act deaf to what He says. Those who don't see will definitely feel. Don't be caught in the wrath of God due to your worldly cravings.
Ezekiel 25
This chapter is titled judgement on the gentile nation - Ammon
From verse 1 to 7, Ezekiel informed the Ammonites of the heart of God towards them. Because the mocked Israel and the sanctuary of God, when God made Israel desolate they will pay with their langs. They will be encamped by their enemies and all that they own will be taken from them. They will experience different types of losses. The lesson here is not to mock people when they are going through any difficulties because it judgement of God or not. Instead ask for mercy on their behalf because when God decides to act upon your mockery you might lose everything.
Ezekiel 25: 8-17
The Lord sent similar message to Moab how they will be given to the Ammonites. Then to Edom because they acted against Judah they will be cut off in vengeance. Then to Philistia because they acted in revenge God will stret h His hands against them and cut them off.
I will admonish you to read this chapter for more insight and details but to summarise God will fight when He wants to and no one can stop Him. He will judge people and nations and nothing can stop Him. However, if you do not want to fall into this wrath ensure you are standing with God and not deviating.
I pray that the Lord will help us all in this journey of faith in Jesus name amen.
